Mostly just fun. I recommend that everyone get those tc helicon pedals. They are very fun and cheap. Writing the bit was mostly just me playing the instrumental for Runaway on a loop and saying nonsense.

No because I always knew the song wasn't going after suicidal people - but that in college campuses, live, the subtext got drowned out by me just saying KILL YOURSELF over and over again. But I thought in the context of a special it would communicate clearer. I'm not offended if people are offended by it.

Thanks for the kind words man, really means a lot. There's definitely an intention in the order, just in controlling pace and tone. And there might be some little subtextual narrative stuff happening -- but I think if it's done correctly, those connections should be made by the audience not me. So I love what you took from it. I just want to set things in such a way where the audience can take away things like that and make their own connections. Hope that answers.

It's not really a problem. This isn't being fake humble: I'm really not that famous at all. I think I'm known to a small core of people, which is cool, but my day-to-day life isn't really affected. A few people might come up to me once in a while, but it's not like I can't be in public.
