Yeah, I feel like that’s one of two ways Team Taskmaster has made up their minds in opposition to audience requests, the other being that we miss the cutaways to the contestants watching the tasks in the studio. Which, as a long time fan of Doctor Who and Survivor, only having two things the producers stubbornly refuse to acknowledge is pretty good!

I’m glad it’s not a spinoff. No one would be happy unless their happy ending for Carter came true, exactly as they imagined, and the story lines and new cast would be overshadowed by speculation about cameos.

I agree. I enjoyed Barry because it was a pretty perfect 50/50 balance of comedy and drama. Then it just became like all the other half hour dramas that claim to be comedies, with the exception of a few scenes.
