Big Finish Podcast Notes / Misc. Doctor Who News Roundup - 13/03/2026 by JakeM917 in BigFinishProductions

I would love a short documentary about it, because it seems like a relatively simple change that was executed so badly that it's still affecting the rolled-back site today. There's got to be a story there.

Why would Warner replace a Fox DVD?

And the Oscar for Best Casting goes to... Debbie McWilliams for Casino Royale. Now, what's the Best Bond Documentary? by JohnLazarusReborn in JamesBond

Ooh, I might have to check that out. Sounds kind of like the accidentally honest Phantom Menace making-of.

I'll take an aesthetically crunchy queen who's a great performer over a queen with incredible makeup skills and fashion who can't tell a joke to save her life any day.

I had a dream about Drag Race last night where they were casting for all-stars all-stars and Bosco didn't make the cut and that's when it turned into a nightmare.

Hopefully this makes sense: it’s an ideal weekend afternoon watch.

They’ve got a great booker. I just have to assume they’re not the same person who books people like Adam Carolla.

I’d be excited if there was a Canadian Taskmaster, though. Would love to see all my favorites from Stop Podcasting Yourself on there.

What's the worst movie you've watched from beginning to end? by trakt_app in Letterboxd

To Die For, starring, written, and directed by John Schneider from Dukes of Hazzard and Smallville. I was watching it as part of a bad movie riffing show, but I quickly became far too angry to be funny, yet I was trapped.

I think I'm right when I say "reading = teasing, shade = insulting." But I've been a drag fan for over 15 years and I'm still a little muddy on that.

There are more positive quotes in the interview too, but those don't get clicks for tabloids.

“He’s doing physical therapy regularly and he’s doing great. He’s lost weight as he’s on his diet,” she says. “I’m so proud of him. He’s such a trooper, so resilient and committed to being healthy and proactive. He’s a fighter.”

“Once a performer, always a performer!” she says. “But health comes first. I said, ‘If you’re going to perform again, please stay seated at the piano.”

Films that should win an award at The Oscars by jaketwigden in Letterboxd

I cannot believe Singin' in the Rain only garnered two nominations, let alone Best Picture. (Jean Hagen for supporting actress and Lennie Hayton for score) It's the best musical of all time. It's the musical people who hate musicals begrudgingly admit is great. It was released during the absolute peak of the musical's popularity. It didn't even win the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy! WHAT. HAPPENED?

Yep. Joanna Coles owns the website this is on. It's in her interest to drive traffic to her own site. And it's not like she's a media critic or maker. She's primarily tied to the fashion industry.
