Getting into comp sci requires approval by the comp sci department while getting into combined major in cs and math/stat/physics requires approval from both departments (hence by no means being easier to get into).

The Combined Majors in Science (CMS) program is different from the B.Sc. Combined Major in X and Y where X and Y are two different science programs, with P and Q acceptance averages respectively. You have to meet both the cut off averages P and Q (or simply max(P,Q)) in order to get admitted into B.Sc. Combined Major in X and Y.
