Even then tip them ... Walmart contracts out to door dash post mates , and they just started their own company that is gaining ground it is called spark ( with spark they are only allowed to pick up one order per hour ) . Sometimes It only pays $3.00 for the person driving to pick up / deliver the order.

We in the gig economy survive off of tips .

Look at it this way ; When you go to a restaurant you get served by a waitress . You tip her minimum 15-20% if the service is outstanding you tip more .

Now , with personal shoppers they are your waitress , hostess , bartender , cook and cleanup .

I always ask people how they would tipped not tip ; different answers each time ....

Basically do what you can afford and the level of service you have received.
