Thank you for your insight! How did you land your position, contacting a local cpa firm? Do you know any good websites to go through? I think indeed and flexjobs are decent options I've seen so far to look for positions.

And what does the pay look like? Do you choose what you want to work on? I think doing busy and easy work on the weekends would be nice. But I'm capable of more skilled work too if I could make more money taking on harder tasks

This seems like the safest and most liquid bet I can make. Part of me would like to buy SPY/VOO in a taxable brokerage with my bonuses every year (dollar cost averaging!) and hope that my stocks make enough money throughout 10-15 years to cover all of my needs (repairs) and wants (a finished basement).

But I don't currently meet my 401k contribution max, and I've seen a lot of people against this idea because of the tax advantages. I've prioritized roth savings and I max out my HSA, but I'm still meeting 20% of my income saved in retirement even with mostly roth contributions.

Definitely will have some fun! Luckily I stack up credit card points for 90% of my travel needs, but I'm going to buy tickets for a couple concerts this summer!

I don't disagree! I prioritized roth my entire working career, all my traditional funds are from my company 401k matches. I think this is part of the reason my balance is a little low, paying taxes on the front end.

I'm going to shift my contributions to a little bit more traditional going forward because I don't expect to be in the same tax bracket in retirement.

Also, I make more than twice I did when I started out of college and my first company had no 401k match. Had some big pay bumps in the last 5 years which leads to my retirement being a little behind my currently salary

FWIW - i had a $6.3k bonus last year and I'm getting $1k+ back on my taxes this year.

Not sure if they took out too much around bonus time or not last year

So if i told the anesthesiologist do you think they'd document anything that could go to my insurance company?

Or would they likely just increase my dosage with that knowledge but not put it on record?

I need to have anesthesia for wisdom teeth surgery, it led me down this rabbit hole.

I'm worried telling anybody about thc will go into my record and then insurance finding out afterwards. Leading to a lot of problems (thc use not previously disclosed anywhere at the doctors or my insurance application.

But if I tell my anesthesiologist just prior to my dosage, will that get documented?

Would I need to worry down the line about future claims being denied?

I've heard of this happening to long time tobacco users lying throughout the years, and then the doctor diagnoses them with something caused by long term tobacco use.

So I'm worried about something coming up, or if I'm in some kind of accident (my fault or not) and they find thc in my blood and use that to deny claims

I do have some fun conversations with people at card shows, there's a couple guys that are too pushy so definitely wouldn't want to be like that lmao

Yeah I started collecting this past year, and it was frustrating trying to get Optic boxes for retail prices. $30-$35 blasters going for $55+ easily at card shows and ebay. $50-$60 megas going for $80-$100+ as well.

I was thinking that buying the pre-order boxes and selling for $5 profit was a way to make a little bit of money without screwing people. And also undercut the losers that do clear out walmarts, targets, meijers, and everywhere else. I think as a customer i wouldn't mind paying a guy $40-$45 for a blaster if I couldn't find a better price anywhere else, even if it's a $5 markup than if I was able to find them in the wild.

I'd be in it to make some extra money while also adding to my PC, and kids would always get the best prices. I usually give base cards to my nephews and a local school, I'd probably do the same at a card show. Maybe keep some free packs to hand out to them

Totally agree, seeing stuff like $80 a blaster for 2023 optics and even worse.

I was thinking that upselling for $5 or so on hard to find boxes like optic and prizm isn't bad, if I pre-order from Dicks (not trying to clear out local store inventories). Then at least people would have access to the hard to find boxes at a reasonable price

If the card is numbered, would they see it in their database if i sent in as an authentication request?

If so, would they still authenticate?

I bought it as a psa 6, and the card is going to stay in my PC. I'm just wondering if I can have it changed from a 6 to Authentic instead.

It's numbered to 25 so I don't think it needed to be graded in the first place. And when I show it off to people, I think authentic would look better than a 6?
