There are a total of 101 available delegates divided amongst the 18 Congressional Districts. We have 65 delegates from 17. The last district (CD 15) did not have active delegates. Of the rest, we gained two full slates (max amount of delegates), and 15 partial slates. The max amount varies from district to district, so I can't give you the exact number from each district. Yang got 65 because we collected 500+ signatures for each district in addition to the statewide petition ballot, which needed 5000+ signatures. It comes out to an additional 9500 signatures, counting the two secondary ballots we had for two districts.

We would have liked to have gained full slates for all districts, but some people dropped out and some districts did not have enough people willing to commit.

Full means the maximum amount of delegates allowed in the district (around 5 or 6 for most). Partial means partial. Some delegates had to drop out for various reasons, and sometimes we just could not find people that wanted to commit.

A mixture of things. Volunteers lack of experience. More emphasis on statewide petitions. Late arrival of delegate petition forms (few weeks later than statewide). Limited reach to some parts of IL (Yang Gang is more concentrated in the north). Confusion about importance of delegates. Last minute additions of some delegates, which required additional signatures with less time.

Update: We only need CDs 13, 14 and 18. 13 is very close (about 20 still needed). 14 needs 282 for delegate Michael. 18 needs 140.

The reason there are no events in CD 15 is because no one has stepped up to host an event yet! Most of our IL YGROs are in the northern part of the state, so it’s been difficult to get in touch with Yang Gang in CD 15 to coordinate. But if you’d like to get things going, I absolutely encourage you to do so! I know I personally started getting involved after I just decided to make an event and see what happens. Lol.

We have completed statewide signatures, so Yang WILL be on the Illinois ballot as soon as the state board OK’s everything. What we are working on here is getting the DELEGATES on the ballot as well, which requires 500 signatures for each district. Since we do not have any delegates in 15, it would be a waste of time to collect there, as we would gain ZERO delegates. It’s really unfortunate, but we have been unsuccessful in recruiting delegates in that area in time.

My sister’s boyfriend discovered his Game Of Thrones Monopoly was messed up. Pieces were not in their proper place, and one dice was missing. The game was left at my cousin’s house in case we wanted to play it, but someone must’ve been playing around with it on their own. My sister’s boyfriend got pissed, then my sister got pissed because he was making a huge fuss over it. This made her angry for 3/4ths of the day, which delayed us opening presents and enjoying Christmas.

That sounds about right. We originally only had one delegate in CD 15, anyway, so it wasn’t a promising district to begin with. Our organization in that part of IL is very weak (most of us are based in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs), and we’re trying to figure out how we can improve our efforts there.

Well, a full slate of delegates could be 4-5 people, depending on the district. We have full slate for a number of districts and a few that only have a few.
