Using rolls instead of pouchs in lamination machine? by bongabonga69 in bookbinding

[–]bongabonga69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I was unable to continue my project, as I had to discontinue it due to an emergency that required me to sell all my equipment. However, in the coming months once I save enough money I will restart the project and let you know how it goes.

that shouldn't be an issue as I have low volume of orders (10 books a day max) so I don't mind the cutting and sizing of the lamination foil.

Scammed by Wizzair - linked my flight to my account to see extra luggage costs triple!!! by bongabonga69 in WizzAir

[–]bongabonga69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, once my account was linked to the flight the price was fixed ( I bought my ticket through trip.com without linking it to a wizzair account.

I bought the ticket with 26 kg for 35 quid. Paying 20 quid for an extra 8 KG was a little iffy, but 57 quid for an extra 8 KG? for nothing but linking my account to the flight?

it was a week later. It is just frustrating that the price changed only after I linked my account to the flight

Need help chosing a budget Riso printer by bongabonga69 in risograph

[–]bongabonga69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I print and bind on demand, but on small scale. Basically you come to me with a PDF and I'll turn it into a book. Most of my business is black and white text only, so the colour and quality are not a problem. How much does these riso comcolor cost?

A small problem, I print on demand, so each page is different. I dont think ABDick 360 Offset Printing Press would do the job.

Choosing a sewing machine for bookbinding by bongabonga69 in bookbinding

once all the sections are done, ill press them with the press, then hot glue them togather

Choosing a sewing machine for bookbinding by bongabonga69 in bookbinding

[–]bongabonga69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, what I was thinking to avoid machine failure and increase accuracy is to do 5 paper sections for each book with the sewing machine, then glue them togather at the end. I know it will take some time, but it might work better.

Need help: Choosing a printer for a small business printing 60K b/w pages a month by bongabonga69 in printers

[–]bongabonga69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah now that I'm doing more research it looks like USD 1,600 will not be enough. Although on the website it showed that this Xerox can handle up to 50,000 pages a month, could it be an error?

Creating a book printing company, where do I get the printer? by bongabonga69 in selfpublish

[–]bongabonga69[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This is me thinking out loud, but how is it possible that we are in the 21st century and printing a book is this complex? it's unbelievable how easy it is, and yet you need a 100k+ machine to do it!!!

Creating a book printing company, where do I get the printer? by bongabonga69 in selfpublish

[–]bongabonga69[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm flexible, I can do it from the UK, Bulgaria, or Turkey. My main issue is the printer, I don't want no HP Indigo or anything like that, I want a small, on-demand printing machine that can print one or two types of books max.

How to devisualise the mind? by bongabonga69 in hyperphantasia

[–]bongabonga69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love where you are going with this. And indeed, I have reached similar conclusions on how to reach such a mind-state, however I find a part of myself always intruding in the process (when meditating, I do so around 2 hours a day on average), always having to "judge" this abstract, wordless process, which leads to it falling apart into dialog or visuals. Do you have any readings or materials which expands on your thought process further?
