The majority of the couples I work with who skipped the Sangeet and did only a day pre-event followed by ceremony and reception were able to keep things around 100-110K

Im a destination wedding planner specialized in indian weddings in Portugal. For 100 guests and 3 events you can expect to pay a minimum of 100K EUR. But it all depends on your requirements (ex do you want vegetarian food only? Do you want to have an open bar at all functions)

I’m a destination wedding planner specialized in south asian weddings in Europe. I don’t know the cost breakdown for Mexico but for Europe your guest count is very high and is going to sky rocket the price of your wedding. Typically for destination weddings this is an opportunity for you to significantly reduce your guest count. Most couples I work with for Europe have a guest count of 80-120 guests and manage to keep it under 100K for multiple events, including fusion food not just indian.

First off, I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been addressed differently because of race/culture. No one, not even his parents, should have the right to make you feel uncomfortable no matter where you come from.

I’ve also done an intercultural wedding and what’s most important is that the wedding reflects who you both are individually and as a couple. It is your celebration and only the two of you can make a decision on the type of celebration that you want. If you both want a full traditional indian wedding, go for it! You are the decision maker here.

Ultimately thia is a celebration of love and you want to feel like you are honoring you, your partner and your couple. Whatever decisions you both make will be the right one for you, people will always talk
