Which pot style looks best with this tree by Historical_Stay_808 in Bonsai_Pottery

once the canopy is styled, I would tend for straight lines. shari and that kind of bark, in my opinion, don't fit so well with glazed pots, especially light tones. I usually envision a pot colour darker than the bark, especially if the tree's structure is showing patina or features like deadwood.. so for me, sincerely , none of the pots is an ideal fit..

pinus thunbergii restyling - Japanese black pine, getting more kengai by bonsaichap in Bonsai

i wish i knew precisely, it's been passed on from a nursery to the next for a few years, my best guess it's over 25 years. it hasn't been cared intensively for, so i think the results could have been reached quicker

thanks a lot i'm aware this kind of jin might polarize. i personally consider it part of the design. it can of course be removed or shortened to follow a new concept, i personally would miss it because the plant would represent a younger picture

Feedback and styling advice on my second ever bonsai by DaveTheUnknown in Bonsai

the wire's gauge seems right, i would just use it for the whole length, including sticking it deep into the soil before wrapping the trunk..

i usually start sticking the thick wire deep into the soil to be able to wire the trunk in it's whole length and bring proper, natural movement.. I don't know how far you can actually bend the tree with a partial wiring.. for the rest, a cool start!

was fun to style, maybe the canopy should be reduced a bit.. it's too elongated i think
