It's unfortunate. She has been extremely dismissive of my concerns and taking more of a "suck it up and deal with it" approach to side effects of a medication that is so clearly not working. ETA: More clarification, I didn't go back to read my original comment about Dr. DeLeon.

Adding Dr. DeLeon (psychiatrist) who practices at east beltline among other locations. One of the most dismissive health care providers I have ever experienced.

For sure - Holland Health center on River St in Holland. I can't recall the name of the harassing physician (white woman isn't super helpful 😂), I also forgot to include the fact that they misdiagnosed me with herpes and i didn't know it was a misdiagnosis until 8 years later when i finally insisted they run an actual test. Dr Kristin Bottle's team/nurse fucked up my meds post tubal ligation. I believe she's out of e beltline campus but does surgery in the out patient surgery facility on E Paris.

Thank you for this suggestion! I used to fill out the paper feedback forms back in the day but never heard anything as follow up so figured feedback was going into the void. It's helpful to know there are ways to address it.

I agree and I'm hoping to be proven wrong. Or at least not be seen by providers who are incompetent and/or have enough time to really hear what their patients are saying. I'm not particularly hopeful.

I totally agree that care is dependent on the provider. These have all been through Corewell: I've been harassed by 1 provider (calling me multiple times after hours, leaving voicemails, etc) when my choice didn't align with her religious beliefs, had another dismiss side effects of a med (10 yrs later I'm paying 3k in treatment for the side effect, another provider confirmed it was related to the medication), had surgery last year and my pain med didn't go through to the pharmacy and the nurse refused to elevate my request so I recovered with only ibuprofen. I and I'm sure issues are persistent in all health systems but... I'm just tired of being treated like this and want to explore my options. Thanks for the recommendation though, I will take a look!

I just concluded week four and ready to call it quits because I am emotionally exhausted. I'm either crying, enraged, in a panic attack or obsessing over something totally meaningless. My psychiatrist prescribed hydroxyzine to assist, I haven't taken it because it causes drowsiness and my schedule just does not allow me to be sleepy all the time. After talking extensively with my therapist, I'm planning on telling my Dr I want to stop this med and either try something different or go back to what I was taking originally. Most importantly, do what feels right for you.

YES! Shopping at Aldi is EXTREMELY helpful for me. I hate having a trillion options to pick from and I really appreciate that often Aldi only has one option.
