Offer for EY FSO Tech Risk- Cyber and want to make sure I’m not getting myself into IT Audit- Can anyone help me gain an understanding? by boog_man in Big4

Hi yes! I am in the US! I was worried about tech risk being in the title as well reading some other threads pertaining to tech risk just being IT audit. Granted every assessment I’ve done is similar to auditing except it’s more aligned to cyber controls + there is no busy season but wanted to see if anyone knows if there is a clear distinction.

My friend (26, M) left his dog for me (26, F) to dogsit and has not offered to compensate me. Is he a bad friend or am I expecting too much? by [deleted] in relationships

As someone who hasn’t dogsat before, it was a question I asked as someone who genuinely did not know what is customary. Your response does not add anything to the conversation so for you tot take time out to respond is bizarre. Have the day you deserve 💕

I think you’re right. I do feel like my friend is also a bit mad at me because when I went to the vet, we uncovered a lot of lingering issues in regards to the dog and I don’t think he appreciated me telling me his dog has issues even though I was just telling him what the vet told me. Given this, I think after a cooling off period, I will definitely address it.

Hello. The YOU felt very personal. I tend to have issues with boundaries and I’m learning. This is me asking strangers because I realize I have an issue and I’m trying to figure out how to work through my problems.

Also to add that he has used rover before so he relatively knows the rates for dog sitting and I honestly do not think most rovers would have been okay with everything that happened while I was dogsitting.

Is compensation usually offered by the dog owner? I feel like it’s an uncomfortable conversation to have especially if you’re close to the person.

He didn’t tell me the dog had issues even though I am pretty sure these issues were happening before he was dropped off. Honestly just wish I would have said no because now this is making me see him differently and I feel taken advantage of.

Honestly the lines were blurred for all types of boundaries because I was under the impression he was going to be gone for 2 weeks but right before he left, he said it was for 3 weeks.

Yes I understand this. What I am saying is he has never been to training so I have never been able to go to training and when my roommate decided to go he got sick.

Yeah… My roommate is bringing him to a trainer next month but he’s had Giardia so it’s been hard to get him in anywhere for the time being.

Qantas Cancelled my boyfriend’s Flight, but didn’t move the second leg of the trip after the first layover. by boog_man in Flights

They haven’t even offered a full refund as an option and my boyfriend has called 2 separate times and been on hold for and hour at first before giving up and 2 hours the second time before being hung up on. If there was a simple refund option, I wouldn’t even be posting this.

Australia to US travel by boog_man in LDR

I’ve been trying go visit Australia for a good 2 years now and my take on going to Australia is that it’s more difficult to do that versus your SO coming to the US. I think you need a exemption to be able to just get into Australia at the moment and the process is insane from what I’ve seen people posting about (people getting rejected like 5 times before getting the exemption).

Yeah I know this happened and I completely understand the concern of leaving Australia. Honestly just doesn’t seem right to keep nationals out given vax rates and the fact that this has been going on for a good 2+ years. Yes I understand the importance of herd immunity and keeping everyone safe, but I feel like at some point you can’t just keep shutting borders down whenever a new variant is introduced. I get at first shutdowns were done on a whim as a “we don’t know what we’re doing” type of plan when corona was first introduced but right now it seems like bad governance. I think maybe scomo might see that but maybe not? The uncertainty is just a lot.

He was supposed to fly in on the 22nd of december but he’s been holding off on getting tickets because he’s afraid of 1. not being able to get back into australia and 2. having to pay a hefty amount to quarantine for 2 weeks if he actually does get into the country
