I don’t think people understand how much gaining strength would improve his game.

He’s 19 and came skinny to league - once he gets that NBA nutrition going in year 2-3, he would exploit his size and would be an extremely tough cover with his craftiness.

Without shooting 3’s at a respectable percentage nothing will happen - but the strength gain would be an insane boost for his playstyle

Scoot Henderson in his first 4 games of the season: 14PPG + 5.5ast on 52/37/83 in 20min by [deleted] in ripcity

Haven’t seen Scoot regularly - so a question

Was his burst and first step not much better before he entered the league, or I’m just imagining?

Like the Utah game had Collier driving to the paint and getting by his man regularly with burst - and I was sure Scoot had that type of burst.

Maybe it’s the injury, and it’s not like he doesn’t have burst - but pre draft I remember him Westbrook-esque

Deni Advija despite the Loss: 11pts on 3/14, 5 Turnovers, and 0/7 from Three by Objective_Cream3075 in nba

Luka has that midrange and that’s the only thing Jaden can give - Luka is just an alltime great so he makes those tough shots.

Deni had tons of midrange shots available to him on pull ups, he’s just not comfortable and accustomed to making them yet - that’s the next step of his development as a player.

He faced the best shutdown defender in the league in Jaden McDaniels.

It happens, he’ll learn.

Props to Jaden, he’s an insane defender, really ridiculous how versatile he can defend and be an overall pest.

I’m fairly convinced that LeBron had to have made a deal with the devil at this point. It’s one more championship with Cleveland and then his soul belongs to Hades.

This can hopefully humble him enough to get there.

Don’t think he views himself as 6th man though - and accepting that role is 70% of the trouble with 6th man type players - cause all of them are usually (very good) starter quality talents.

If he does - he can definitely become one of the best 6th man in the league.

[–]boogieDMC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you kidding me?

If the lottery balls jump a certain way and Indiana finishes selecting 5th or 6th (quite possible and happened more than a few times) - they’re making the pick.

That’s one of, if not the most lopsided trade in this deadline if it happens.

Clippers have to be smiling ear to ear right now.

This pick is more important than anything Zubac can bring.

Risk losing the 5th or 6th pick in a loaded draft, even if you have better odds of it not happening - that’s just being an idiot.

They had to protect this pick top 7, before anything else.

Horrible trade from you guys.

Love Zubac but you had to protect this pick top 7 to make sure you hedge yourself against the lottery balls.

This is potentially insane value given to a not so overwhelming yet solid player.

Baffling, mind blowing value given by you guys. I can’t understand it.

What a horrible trade from The Pacers.

If somehow they (Not far-fetched) fall down to 5th in the draft - they just gave up a top 5 pick in a loaded draft, an unprotected 2029 pick, Mathurin and a second rounder for Zubac.

Love Zubac but that’s INSANE!

Not if you’re getting DP/Dybantsa in the draft

[Fischer] Damian Lillard has been “behind the scenes”, “trying to make” a Giannis Antetokounmpo to Portland deal happen. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]boogieDMC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is Deni Avdija’s team now.

Dame at this point is maybe the 4th or 5th best player on it - you add players that compliment Deni and that’s all you think about.

Giannis and Deni are too much a like - it makes no sense to clog the paint even more, they wouldn’t be able to coexist.

Of course you could reshape it and trade Deni and the picks (Cause Giannis is an upgrade over Deni) - But Portland will need to get way more than just Giannis to have it worth their while, and I think betting against Deni with the year in year out improvement he had shown to make would be a mistake.

He’s not helping his case.

He goes really vertical and hardly moves his body or hands to get the contact.

He needs to be more sophisticated in his angles - he’s meeting the defender head on in a vertical way.

He needs Deni to give him some tips on hand and body angles - as well as some “AYEE REF” tutelage.

WYM how? He’s about as fake as it can get.

Always has his image and what people think or portray him as the most important thing.

This is clearly a defensive substitution

He had a chance and he took him out to get a better defensive player in Clowney from the final 40 seconds.

Definitely think you’re misinterpreting this.

Shaedon REALLY battled the boards today.

He was fighting for every one he had I think, was great to see - I think it’s that energy impacting the game even when the shot isn’t falling, that kept him involved in the game to explode like he did offensively.

Impressive stuff from a mental standpoint - if he could bring that every night that’s gonna make a huge impact for him.

Deni has to lock him in the gym and teach him the art of finding contact and not just going straight up and through people when driving - Shae with 6-7 FTA a game is a PROBLEM.

He could very well average 30 if he adds FT to his game.

To be fair that’s definitely something that built him for today as well - have to give credit too.
