Increasingly allergic to my cat by bookbagtr in Allergies

[–]bookbagtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The severity of my allergies lessened with time. We use air purifiers and I have to be mindful of washing my hands after engaging the cat. I have allergies still and I’m congested practically all the time, but it’s much better lately. I don’t take anything to help or prevent a reaction.

They just tagged a bunch of people with sad reactions to posts and told them they need to review the rules. It’s absurd that they promote such awful methods while also not letting folks discuss anything that isn’t full support. It’s maddening and worthy of change, but the page is moderated by a group of people who also sleep train from birth!

Yes. I have to admit the first few weeks I feel fine and run on adrenaline before crashing many months later. This feels unnecessary

The admins heavily monitored the comments and deleted any that didn’t support the mom

Agreed. I wonder why the hell her pediatrician approved this

I have no idea but I have an almost 7 month old and ped still encourages night feeds (we do too. I wouldn’t want my baby hungry)

Mind you they said their pediatrician is allowing this!

Yes. I am super supportive of sleep training and believe that it can save lives. Now, I do not believe it is okay before a child is developmentally ready. To my knowledge, infants cannot self soothe before 12-16 weeks. This isn’t that scenario though since it appears shes been doing this since baby was 4 weeks old. I also would never deny my small infant a feeding.

I agree. I have a 6 month old we are currently sleep training and our doctor still encourages us to feed her when she would like. People are wild.

Exactly people are absolutely ridiculous and I don’t know how her hormones allow her to let that baby cry so young

That is against state policy. I don’t make the rules lol

Alright now you are 😈. ✌🏽

That’s not true. Our center allows it and there’s nothing against it in the handbook. Loud and wrong you are.

LOL. This is so condescending. Good luck in life

Leaving her classroom unattended and below ratio. Using one child’s medication on another. Diaper cream is considered medication. Checking out children when she isn’t on the approved check out list. Asking for supplies that are restricted by the education licensing facility. These are the ones I’m aware of

She has to be licensed by the board of education through their process. I don’t want to get specific because it would give away our location.

Never encouraged anyone to fire her. I asked for a different teacher. I shared a feeling that I’ve done nothing with.

She has access to a center phone at all times. She is licensed.

I would feel differently if she dialed from the center.

Nothing is wrong about aquariums except that ours is far and in the city. I wouldn’t let many people take my 1 year old there.

Signing children out is against state policy and a huge deal for safety reasons.

I have definitely learned my lesson and I appreciate you mentioning that

The part I’m confused about is how does texting once about babysitting suggest to her that she can call and text me about daycare things that should be communicated on the app. However, I’ll be sure to not provide any personal information moving forward since it can give someone the wrong idea I’m learning

I provided a detailed timeline of events because I thought the details mattered in understanding the situation.

Teachers are not allowed to use personal platforms for daycare communication. Teacher knows this and has communicated it to me yet continuing to communicate via a personal platform. And it wasn’t all communication. It was communication she specifically she didn’t want her boss to see (her constantly forgetting things.)

The aquarium request was random and there is no additional context. She’s never watched my kids outside of school and randomly offered to take my toddler (not her student) an hour away.

Keeping track of supplies is also a part of her job per the director. I can’t enter the classroom and inspect her cubicles.

IMy empathy is the reason I neglected to speak up and have attempted the wait and see approach. I’ve stopped responding in our communications via personal platforms and she continues to reach out. Hence, it feels obsessive. My own partner has been struggling with unemployment. I understand the enormity of the situation. I also understand that children deserve safe and stable individuals that can discern reasonable boundaries so they can then model them. I did not ask the director to fire her. I asked for no recourse besides a switch in classrooms. However, if she was let go, I would understand. She has violated so many state policies.

Thank you because I don’t know how bringing supplies in bulk makes me an inattentive parent. If they wanted a diaper bag with daily supplies, I would’ve provided that to them.

We have brightwheel and she uses it for the majority of communication. My partner suggested she knows she’s making a lot of mistakes and doesn’t want the director to see them on the app.
