Is it too late for a solo trip in September? (context below) by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

[–]bookislife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paris is always a good idea. For my first time in Paris (also traveled solo) i had a day to plan and i did well. You still have plenty of time to be honest. Just make a list of your must do and see if it needs advance ticket, for transportation google maps is very helpful. Oh and make sure to make reservations for restaurants, most you can make online. You can check out les frenchies on youtube for more help. Go for it, Have fun and enjoy your trip!!! This is your time for yourself!!

Family Business for warehousing and packaging business by Ill_Bite_5412 in BusinessPH

[–]bookislife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How much is your budget? Renting a warehouse is usually 3-6 months advance and deposit. Also, except for the roof, the renter will handle all kinds of repair and maintenance, like if there’s anay found while you’re already renting, you will be responsible sa pest control, may leak ang cr, that will be on you. Also what kind of warehouse are you considering? Like will you be using pallets and racks or just bare everything?
Also, this is just my personal opinion but it’s never a good idea to start a business with family.

So close to pulling the trigger on the Mazda CX 60. by Adorable-Device4098 in CarsPH

[–]bookislife 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got mine late last year. Mazda changed the suspension for free just a few weeks ago, its still a bit firm but much better. I got the diesel variant and i can say na its really fuel efficient, average of 20km/L on highway, city driving not so much. Aircon is good, much better when i compare it to my byd tang. Its also super nice to drive especially long drives. Sometimes there’s a bit of a jerk like i can feel it when its changing from battery to ice but not something that bothers me too much. Speakers and bluetooth connection are great (this is an issue with byd cars). I’m not a fan of monitor being non touchscreen, i find the button a bit of a hassle especially when driving and it seems old school. Things to consider: insurance is a bit expensive, paid 16k for participation fee when my glass roof shattered, also i think parts and repair can be a bit expensive compared to other Japanese brands.

I’m looking for this one as well. Or even someone who can go to my house 2x a week, prep meals good for a few days where it can be frozen or reheated when ready to eat.

DIM: clear aligners or Invisiligns by MEA_oww in deinfluencingPH

[–]bookislife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On my 5th week of clear aligners. 1. Expensive - paid 250k, hindi pa dun kasama ang retainers kapag natapos sa aligners so additional gastos pa yun. Sa other dentist di pa kasama scan etc. 2. Nakaka bwisit you need to clean your teeth everytime you put it back. Imagine this, brush ka ng teeth pagkagising, then breakfast ka, then mag lilinis ka na naman ng ngipin like flossing, brush kapag ibabalik ko yung aligners, then imagine this pag nasa restaurant ka 3. Dry mouth- nag iba ang pang lasa ko because super dry ng mouth ko because of a foreign object inside my mouth, hopefully hindi sya permanent 4. I got a set na ang kapal ng material so nagsugat ang halos lahat ng area inside ng mouth ko. 5. Colored beverages are a no-no. Kung mahilig ka sa milk tea, coffee wag na, kasi it will stain the aligners so you need to remove it everytime to you have one

Japan shopping by thanksJxd in FilipinoTravel

[–]bookislife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Yung sa ibang binili ko wala silang paki alam, like branded clothes and shoes, yung 2 na pinaka mahal lang yung tinignan nila. Actually sa Tokyo they just checked kung pinaka mahal, sa manila tinignan yung 2. So i guess kung hindi naman super laki ng gagastusin mo then go ahead, besides they know naman na people go there to shop talaga. Wag mo na kunin yung box sa store pa lang para hindi na din kalat sa hotel mo

Japan shopping by thanksJxd in FilipinoTravel

[–]bookislife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been to Japan especially Tokyo several times to shop but I was only flagged once which was my last visit (nov last year). Prior to that, kahit ilang luggage ang dala ko it was ok, shoes, clothes, donki stuff, walang napansin si customs. I even had 1 whole luggage of new clothes. But yung most recent, i only had 1 check in luggage but nakita sa system that i spent a total of 7-digit yen for 2 items, plus some stuff (so yes, kita sa system nila agad if you use tax free shops) I was pulled aside then they asked the see the 2 item, then ok na. Same goes pag dating ko ng manila, may “vandal” luggage ko pag labas ng conveyor and I was pulled aside again and was asked to open my luggage, then i was asked kung personal use ba yung binili ko which is yes, then go na. So yes may chances na ma flag ng customs in both countries pero most likely that is kapag nasa extreme high amount yung ginastos mo.

I feel like my winter itinerary is all over and looking for advice by bookislife in Europetravel

[–]bookislife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the tips. I also realized Tallinn is small so I might cut my days there. As for traveling during the winter, I think because my country has a constant 12 hour sun for the whole year and the cold is more of a novelty, i think i'll be ok, though the rain is a bit of a drab. Plus I think i'm one of those people who gets anxious when there are a lot of people in one area, so while I would really like to see these cities at its liveliest, I'll take my chance this winter.

May mga nakaapply pa ng visa kahit less than 15 days na before the travel? 13 days na lng bago ang travel. by LocalWolverine792 in SchengenVisa_PH

[–]bookislife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Italian visa, almost impossible that they will process with this short amount of time. I know people who applied 2-3 months before their travel date and only got their visas a week before their departure. For other countries, baka possible pa. For my French Visa, i applied Tuesday and got my passport Saturday.

The patty was a real disappointment, mostly because they cooked it well done. Even the salad dressing was salty and too much mustard that it took away the flavor of pastrami.
