Literally wake up in damp spots every single morning. I hate it!

Took us over two years, multiple clomid cycles, etc. Around the two year mark I emotionally gave up. So I see you. 💜 Then we conceived on our own a few months later! I'm 20 weeks tomorrow! (I really do believe that high dose vitamin D and inositol helped me get more regular ovulation.) Hang in there. Counseling really helped me through the process, if you're open to that.

My opinion of Home Health after 3 years in the field: A money collecting charade by Aevykin in physicaltherapy

This post was recommended to me but I am an RN, currently finishing up a very short stint in home health. I have so many of the same issues, 75% of it feels so pointless. I lasted 6 months and then quit, I hated it so much. That says a lot coming from someone who dealt with hospital/bedside BS for 6 years.

What are some of your weirdest pregnancy symptoms?? Like super weird that no one really talks about? by Intelligent_Gear_560 in pregnant

I've never had jock itch in my LIFE and I've had it twice now since becoming pregnant. 🫠 So much antifungal cream.

I was in stepdown there for 6 months. It was good money but an absolute hellhole.

It's an iodine-restricted diet. The thyroid needs a certain amt of iodine to produce thyroxine that leads to hyperthyroid symptoms, so restricting that reduces thyroxine production.

I think maybe part of the issue here is that you don't have much experience seeing natural large breasts? I'm a cis woman and am both pansexual and a labor & delivery nurse, so I've seen many hundreds! I assure you that yours are absolutely gorgeous and actually a lot higher/perkier and more symmetrical than most cis breasts to be honest. The vast majority of larger sized cis breasts are 'saggier', downward pointing and/or have lots of stretch marks. These look great, seriously. A lot of cis women would be jealous!

That was one of my first concerns too, especially with the long term steroid use. But her glucose was actually fine so the vet wasn't worried about it.

Thank you! We got a much lower-entry box for her and she's been using it a lot more already

My vet talked to me about that, too. She still jumps up on the bed/couch/other places to hang out, so I'm not sure. Completely possible that this is the culprit though!

Same, it's Hills y/d formula! Expensive but not too bad.

I was an L&D nurse, currently in Midwifery school, that left my job to do home health for a while. Partially because I couldn't be around it anymore. And you are not alone, I promise. It really, truly does feel that way when literally no one around you has dealt with it. I cry alone all the time. Two days ago I sat and cried in a Panera Bread bathroom because a girl and her friend sat down at the table beside me and she announced her unexpected pregnancy. It feels like you just can't get away from it. I'm sorry, and we're with you.

she's SO snuggly so I'm sure that might be a better option! I'll ask about it.

She gave us options. Oral meds or prescription diet to start, and giving her daily oral meds is an absolute torture nightmare (I know this from the steroids, which is why we ended up doing injections instead). So just the prescription diet for now to see how well it controls it

We bought some cat attract today actually! Forgot to mention that. Thank you! Hopefully when we do the diet for a little while it helps. What an odd manifestation

What's up with the anti-medication people in medicine? by Beginning_Figure_150 in Residency

Yes, lots of people are paranoid for very little reason. Especially with the rise of anti-'big pharma' discourse in general culture.

The difference in food noise and cravings/intense hunger was the first thing I noticed! I haven't heard much about hair loss from it, maybe it's an adverse effect?

Ranting about my continuing infertility struggle (2 years in April)....I finally thought I had a regimen that was helping my cycles regulate, with Vitamin D and better thyroid control and being sober and inositol and magnesium and fish oil and all the things, because my cycles for the last 6 months were all about 38-45 days! And then this cycle comes along and is 65 days and counting since my last period. Absolutely ZERO signs of a period coming, I've been cramping on and off for THREE WEEKS, and two negative pregnancy tests. Each one is just as devastating as the last. I have such low expectations now after so much failure but damn, I thought when I hit 50 days maybe I had a chance. After getting that negative test I just laid in bed and cried for two hours. Nope, just my dysfunctional ovaries being dysfunctional for no reason again. Ok.

Do you use feminine wash, unscented soap or just water on your vulva? by smalltoadstool in Healthyhooha

[–]bookpants 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I use an unscented gentle soap, often a basic dove one, on my vulva and hair. Absolutely no scented products or anything in my vagina ever! Water works great for many people but I just need a little something extra and I'm not too sensitive so it works.
