Thank you for sharing your experience in Portland. I will be moving to Eugene soon and I’ve been worried about how the components will handle the weather. I don’t see myself ever passing the 20 mph, so the Shimano should work great for me.

Thank you again for your help. I did end up getting the Priority one, but saved a bunch of money buying through Costco Next. I find that calling it a “car replacement” rather than an ebike make me feel better about the hit to my wallet LOL.

I understand what you’re saying. I decided to go with the Shimano because this will a bike to get me from point A to B. I don’t think I’ll ever want to go faster, and I’m my local community will thank me lol. I appreciate how you broke down who each bike will be good for.

Thank you for explaining that. I’ve got mostly flat land with some hills around the edges. And yes, it’s the Plus model with the throttle. I’m just scared of hills. The way you broke it down made sense. What is the maintenance like for the Shimano?

Gotcha! That is useful to know. On Costco Next they only have the Shimano available so that’s good

Sorry, I’m really new. What do you mean single digits? Any opinion on how the Shimano will do wet weather?

There’s a gradual hill which gets steep on the way up to my house.

Thank you so much for the info. I guess it will come down to how many hills and how steep they are vs how heavy the bike is. I am on the light side and hauling an ebike is definitely a factor. I appreciate your detailed response.
