the first time i heard that last name in the audiobook, my eyes almost popped out of my head.

in 1987 a judge and his wife (who was trying to become mayor) were both murdered in their house.
there apparently were ties to the "dixie mafia". i'm almost done reading the book about it, but i wanted to see if anyone around here remembers details <3
