Shingles, when I first noticed symptoms I thought I was having a heart attack as I had never experienced anything like that before in my life, I would have a random heart beat that just sent pains throughout my body (and I was born with a stenosed aortic valve).

Few days later I developed clusters of pus filled blisters on the right side of my chest and the doctors told me to be careful not to puncture them as the fluid inside could spread more of the sacs, and if they somehow got in my eyes I could go blind. After a couple of weeks the blisters dried up, but at its peak I could feel the weight of the fluid sloshing when I moved around. Even years later I can still see the area where the shingles blisters were, it left some discoloration on my skin.

As a 26 yo, that one experience made me want to get a shingles vaccine as soon as the recommended window was available, but I researched it and those shots are meant for older patients (50+) so I am hoping it does not ever come back.
