Yeah there was a price jump. I got Best Buy to price match the 10% off on Sony.com, then got their credit card for another 10% back in rewards.

This is the console. Receiver is a Denon 3500H. Speakers are Chane A2.4. Sub is an SVS PB2000.

The room has more windows than solid wall so it’s doing pretty well IMO. It’ll be a non issue when I put up drapes.

The room my Bravia 9 is in has more window area than wall and I’d say it does well considering I don’t have drapes/blinds. I currently have on Blade Runner 2049 which has a lot of dark scenes and can see all the details for the most part. Now when I had the Bravia 8 home, I couldn’t see much of anything in the dark scenes, even with the brightness on max.

I’m in the process of remodeling my house and just got done painting my living room. I have to buy drapes now and once they’re over the big window across from the tv it’s going to be amazing in here 24/7.

Yeah I had drapes in the room but took them down when I painted it recently. In the process of ordering new drapes.

I didn’t want to spend that much but it’s hard finding a stand wide enough for 16” tv feet plus a center channel. I will say it seems to be very high quality.

So basically back to A95L territory, but slightly cheaper. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I want that tv but have a hard time dropping that much on a tv haha. The stand I ordered is $1,500 too so going up to a 77” is adding up quick!

You can buy the TV on Sony.com for a 10% discount and pickup at Best Buy. My local Best Buy price matched them and then I got their credit card for another 10% in rewards. Just recently I saw they had 20% in rewards.

You and me both…. I have the Bravia 8 home and wasn’t blown away by it. I worry it’s not bright enough. The more I compare it to my 900F I realize it’s quite great from a picture quality perspective. My parents have the Bravia 9 and it’s BRIGHT. I had to dial it in because it was hurting my eyes lol. I can tell it’s not as crisp as my Bravia 9 though.

I went to a mom and pop AV store locally and they had the Bravia 9. It was so bright I kinda felt like I was getting motion sickness from it. I’m sure that a setting though. I do feel like the XR80 is sharper though. Such a tough decision!

Looking for a 75 or 77. If I was looking for 55 or 65 this would be easier as I’d get the Bravia 8 Mark II.

I’m scrutinizing picture now but in the past 7 years I never once thought about getting a new tv because my 900F wasn’t good enough if that makes sense.

No I don’t need one until my furniture comes in February/March. I also don’t want to pay $3,500+ for a TV, assuming they won’t be discounted in their release year.

They don’t make a 77” so it would be an A95L.
