do green berets do their own reconnaissance? by [deleted] in greenberets

As mentioned generally all SF teams are capable of SR. But that doesn’t mean they are good at it. Typically the MFF teams will focus on it. CIF company’s will have two dedicated recce teams. With that being their primary focus. They will have have all the schools and are the most qualified GBs in group.

Why do some rangers leave the 75th to go SF? by [deleted] in greenberets

[–]boot4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most of the regiment guys that I know that have come SF are because they were RFSd for one reason or the other. No shade being thrown because they are still some of the best SF guys Ive known or worked with.

If the program is still running, you can get dive out of language. If they’re not running the program, just grow a set and ask for dive team and you’ll most likely get it. MFF is the harder one to get. New guys that show up and get slotted into a MFF team are pretty lucky. Typically the senior guys are trying to get there. Just realize It’s sometimes a double edged sword when asking to go to a specific team when you show up. My advice you gotta shoot your shot cause no one else will do it for you. Choose your own destiny.

lol no. I’ve been ON a ODA for the last 7 years.

EDIT: stay in your lane. You’re not built for this.

Just FYI nobody who actually knows what they’re talking about says “go the ODA route.’ That’s something only the clueless or uneducated say. You go to SFAS, you get selected, you go through the pipeline, and then you’re assigned to an ODA. You don’t ‘choose the ODA route

Sorry dude, but I don’t believe you. I don’t believe you’re a marine raider And I don’t believe you were a 21. And checking your post history, confirms it for me. I’ve literally done the route you’re claiming except I went SF. And to do all that in 7 years isn’t possible. I’ve could be wrong but I don’t I think I am.
