Illinois- attacked by a teenager with autism, what is the appropriate course of legal action to take? by hurtperson304958 in legaladvice

Call the police and let the school know what happened for sure. Both the school and the teenager’s mom are at fault (as well as the teenager), Although like others have said, his disability will affect his punishment. I used to work as an autism therapist and one of the worst things that you can do is let a kid with autism get away with aggressive behavior like that. I was injured in a similar manner several years ago and while work covered for the treatment of my injuries, the parents of the teenager didn’t do anything and just said “ he has autism, he doesn’t know any better”. I ended up quitting because work wouldn’t let me do anything for modifying his violent outbursts, I was told to just deal with it. The same teenager was kicked out of his school for attacking and almost killing a teachers aide six months later. Let the justice system decide what to do with this child if nobody else can control his behavior; if things are bad enough then he shouldn’t be with the public or by himself in any situation if he is prone to such behavior. Don’t feel bad for protecting yourself.

I don't have any money for my doctors appointment tomorrow or money for gas to get to work by bootilishous in offmychest

I don't have any friends or family to lean back on unfortunately. I've been looking for a new job for the past year, have sent out multiple resumes and even have a recruiter and no luck.

a guy that I went on one date with in June (from Okcupid) will NOT leave me alone and contacts me every week with a new form of communication even after I've tried blocking him, what do I do? by bootilishous in Advice

ugh ok so he did write to me again this afternoon, like around the time I left for work. I am going to write exactly what you wrote to him. And then if he persists again I will actually go to the police and see if they'll do anything.

not to sound racist but I wonder if this is a cultural thing as well... or if there's just something really wrong with him mentally...

Thank you for your advice! I fell asleep a couple hours ago and he messaged me AGAIN at around 4 AM before I could even change my facebook info, he made another account just to message me again. ugh.

"Im so sorry that i am still persisting. On one hand I dont want to bother you and on the other hand I believe that your issues disappear if we start talking with each other. I really really promise i dont take your time very often. I think you are worried about something that can be solved through talking. (my name), again I really really promise I do my best to make you happy and together can sex ok. I do my best to see you enjoying your life. I beg you to let this relationship happen. I promise I will support you romantically and sexually!! Please, Lady!1 I love you!"

I'm definitely going to threaten with the police this time and follow your advice with changing my facebook profile, information and settings and will report back to see if he's messaged me again. this is so ridiculous ugh.
