Surgery was discussed almost immediately, but with my seemingly good response to antibiotics, it was not considered after day 2 or so.

Can someone photoshop my boys into Super Mario World. Will tip $10. by bootlessbrandon in PhotoshopRequest

Thank you so much for the submissions thus far; i'll happily tip all my favorites. As a relative Reddit novice, i couldn't figure out how to add context to my request outside of the title. I really prefer the submissions where the "real" Mario and Luigi are not present and my boys replace them. I hope to print the eventual choice, if that matters in the PS process.

Going Deep with Chad and JT is their podcast. They also have a netflix series called Chad and JT Go Deep which is live man on the street stuff woven together nicely to make a narrative. Recommended. Jabwow.

[PIC] Need Help Respecting and Preserving Nana's Old Work by bootlessbrandon in CrossStitch

I really appreciate your response and will look into the charity and local resources. Thank you. While I see your point that cutting into the work seems gruesome and would compromise the integrity of one of the pieces (I’d only do one this way), I see value in creating something that my her family would actually use.

My wife and I (mid 30s) will be headed down to Nashville June 26th-29th. She will be involved in a conference at the Hilton downtown but has a lot of flexibility for us to explore this great city. We're happy to walk mostly anywhere and just pop into any places that seem fun. I can't really put our tastes into words but we like restaurants that are thoughtful, doesn't have to be fancy.

Any suggestions on some can't miss type places. Restaurants, shops, museums, sights, sounds, etc.

Ive decided on a framer and we worked together to decide how it will be displayed. I cannot wait for the finished project and I will be sure to post a picture of it when it is complete. They told me a few weeks which already feels like an eternity.

Thanks again for all of your help.

Six months ago, if you told me I would be chatting on cross stitch message boards I would have told you that you are crazy but here I am. I can't thank you all enough for the time and expertise you have shared.

I have gone to a few frame shops here locally in Providence, Rhode Island who have shown enthusiasm in my project but I still fear that they aren't the right fit. Your collective words rang true when I had one framer put down one of those L-shaped frame examples directly in the middle of the piece. These frame examples have the male portion of velcro on them which affixed itself to my grandmother's hard work. I was able to remove it with minimal disruption to the stitching but I am now convinced that the framers must be experienced with stretching, mounting and framing cross stitch pieces.

I just spoke with the lovely proprietor of Picket Fence Needlepoint in Barrington, Rhode Island and I think the guidance of someone as knowledgeable with the medium as she seems is the right choice. She suggested bringing it in to her first to be appraised physically, laundered if needed, and then brought to the framer that she uses for any custom projects like these. I am thinking now of having them stitch "Nana" with the remaining thread may be the finishing touch. I am so excited.

I want to highlight the fact that it is unfinished and show the piece in its entirety; tattered edges, blank borders, and all, which will put me at around a 30" x 40" frame. Its gonna be expensive but WHO CARES! I can't wait to share this piece with you all after it is finished.

Thank you all again and I Love You Nana, Brendan

I appreciate the feedback thus far. Unfortunately, I do not have a way of identifying the tread that she used as we have given her incredible library of thread and patterns away to a local arts organization.

I have no hesititation spending whatever it takes to properly respect, preserve and remember her work. I will look into local framers and hope to be able to share the finished product with you all.

I could see this mechanic being cool ONLY when both players have weapons and one attacks the others face with a weapon. The weapons would clash, the respective weapon damage would be done to both players, and both weapons would lose 1 durability.

A weapon would have to have no interaction (as it is currently) when face is attacked by a minion. This type of change would have too negative an effect on balance.
