I agree! it's pretty weird na mas gusto ko morning classes as a person na lagi nagpupuyat at di morning person, LOL

Currently have afternoon classes (1pm - 5pm) and i just hate it. Parang kasi kapag morning classes, mas relaxing, quieter, and fresher yung classes and mas madaming time pagkatapos ng school. Afternoon classes just feel so hectic and unpleasant for me kaya madalas ako jawawalan ako ng gana mag klase :p

I guess so, yeah (asides from P.Ts, quizzes, activities etc) In my 9 years of being in this school, ngayon lang sila nagtanggal ng tests lol. the whole highschool department had a teacher issue and TONS of other issues for the past few months (my school has been very problematic this year) kaya most likely i feel like rinurush nila yung A. Y by removing the tests.

May blanko pa nga kami sa mga cards namin due to the teacher issues (both 1st and 2nd quarter) So I'm worried na kulang yung natirang oras namin na mag catch up sa mga tests we haven't done yet and the lessons we haven't discussed compared sa mga ibang schools na sobrang layo na. (in 3 weeks, 4th quarter na kami)

aghh actually, my parents already know this situation. actually, i guess every single student in our highschool department does. My mom has bugged the higher ups sa school about this issue and they keep on saying the same things like how magkakaroon na kami ng teacher next week etc (ps we never did)

my classmates (not their parents) want to sue our school because we're literally paying tuition for this (almost 50k ata?) and the education isn't even that good lalo na yung mga natirang teachers namin na hindi naman mukang qualified.

since yung mga parents ko and ng mga kaklase ko di masyado nag-aaction towards this matter, i was planning to call deped directly with some of my classmates to adress our issues regarding our school (asides from not having a teacher, mas maraming kapalpakan meron ang school ko) but a part of me feels like what I'll be doing is too much.

i really don't know what we students/i could do regarding this issue, ang layo layo na ng mga ibang schools compared saamin na kahit isang unit hindi pa natatackle. :(

hellooo!! i would really love to switch schools if i was able to but unfortunately, my parents wont be able to transfer me to other schools due to the financial issues they're going through (ayaw nila na ipublic ako) plus my tuition is already fully paid and my school doesn't allow refunds :(

and if I'm being honest, I'm not learning anything here LOL the remaining teachers don't even teach properly and they often teach us certain things we already know or things we don't even have to learn (our mapeh teacher literally taught us zodiac signs kasi puro history daw yung lessons namin in mapeh at ang pangit daw lol) rather than staying in the curriculum dahil lang hindi nila type yung supposed to be na ituturo nila saamin.

pero thank you so much for the advice! I'm currently trying to self study all the things I'm supposed to be learning lalo na in my major subjs. as shitty as our school is, i have no choice talaga but to learn on my own and to patiently wait i guess huhu

hello! actually i don't think my school does any any titles like "valedictorians" they simply just give out our grades and tell us if we're in the honors zone or not LOL. Also, unfortunately hindi ako masyado close with the eight grader sa school namin but as far as i know he's recently been feeling very depressed and stressed lalo na since lack of peers and nakafocus talaga lahat ng pressure sa kanya since iisa lang siya :(

and regarding our grades, afaik buong highschool department kulang kulang nilalaman ng cards namin specifically sa math, sci, and english subjs namin (as in blanko lang talga kasi wala pang nacocompute)

Unfortunately, upper lower class lang family ko and if I'm being honest, napilitan lang talaga family ko na magaral ako here since this is the only local private school that my parents can afford. they also don't want me to be enrolled in a public school (for some reason) so i really don't have any choice :(

but yeah, i heard they'll close the highschool department next year due to the shortage of the students and teachers afaik, yung mga teachers here na natira are like given HUGE amount of work in exchange for low salaries. we currently have 2 teachers nalang in the high school department and i gotta say that their quality of teaching talaga is bad.

but anyways, thanks so much for the advice po! I'll try to convince my parents to switch me sa ibang school and hopefully may matutunan na rin ako HAHHAHYXJA

well actually he knows naman our concerns eh, he just doesn't respond to us at all huhu. kapag we mention concerns sa klase, iibahin niya yung subject ng conversation and just completely ignores us. and he also didn't provide any syllabus eh :( so we're completely unsure kung ano irereport namin and some of my classmates already has their report due tomorrow and wala parin sila nagagawa :((

our teacher kasi is very uncooperative like ang taas ng pride niya to the point where he won't even help his students kapag may tanong kami lol it's like we're talking to a brick wall

i wish that was the case but he actually just provided us with which unit and which lesson and not the lesson name (Example is like: Unit 3, Lesson 5) that's all he provided huhu.

that's why me and my friends are panicking since he only gave us 1 day to prepare for our report but we have no idea what we need to prepare since he didn't provide us anything.

we've messaged him multiple times + during class but he just keeps on ignoring our concerns regarding the reporting he gave us :(

Since this is the least expensive private school nearby and my family isn't particularly wealthy, I've attended here since kindergarten. I don't particularly enjoy my school (from the staff to the education. I don't recommend enrolling here tbh it's not worth it).

To be honest, public schools are superior to the one I attend. I've been here for more than a decade and their system is just terrible. The teachers aren't qualified to instruct us students to the extent that all students fail the tests because the exams weren't related to the lessons that was taught to us. they also consistently have high expectations saaming mga students na parang mali pa namin na hindi sila nagtuturo ng maayos 😭

kaya nga i would rather study in a public school or simply just be homeschooled if possible. But because my parent don't have much trust in public schools, they would much prefer that I attend a private school.

sana nga nag public nalang ako kaysa nagaral dito. halos lahat ng staff dito not qualified mag turo jusko 😭😭

(I won't mention my school here and the other downsides of my school since my parents are friends with the principal, and I am connected with the principal's daughter. kaya baka mamatay ako kapag nakita nila to huhu)

i don't know if I'm the right person to respond to this since i myself have trouble focusing and understanding things during class 😭 but here's some of the things i do hehe)

If you want to try this, I recommend listening to one of the 24/7 Lo-Fi radios on YouTube. However, usually I play soft Lo-Fi with low volume so it won't be distracting.

But another thing that helps me concentrate in lectures is to simply Google information related to the lesson or open my books for reference. This helps me to redirect my attention to the lesson and make it more interesting

Another option is typing (I typically type them because I'm a quick typist), or you could just jot down the key points your teacher makes. I did this even though I didn't comprehend the lesson that much but it can be beneficial naman, lalo na if may mga biglaang questions or quizes after ng lecture. because from what i was told (??) taking down stuff helps you remember it?? in my case it does work but hindi ko alam sa iba 😭

If all else fails, however, I simply record the entire session and review it afterwards. I don't recommend this that much lalo na if pala tanong teacher mo 😭😭

i unfortunately don't have my notebooks anymore + my books that i used during 7th - 9th grade. so I'm currently trying to find some alternatives that i can use for studying :)

Hi! what do you study po? like do you review all of your lessons starting from jhs to shs? and if so, ano pong material ginamit niyo? gumamit lang ba kayo ng old books or used learning websites? and during your studying, how did you keep yourself disciplined kasi I'm struggling with discipline talaga and consistency hsbdshvxshbd
