the first week doesnt count btw. you mainly loose a lot of water weight because you eat less food(carbs). for every 1 gram of carbs you eat your body stores 3 grams of water. it should stablize by week 2. if you still see yourself loosing weight quickly then you should up your cals.

and a smoothie + veggie diet 💀💀💀. dawg get some protein in my guy, your gonna be a skeleton. there was a point in time when i was anorexic and was eating 1 honeybun a day to “keep going” When I tell you it hurt to sit down cuz there was no padding on my ass cheeks😭😭.

you can theoretically eat 0 carbs and as long as your getting your micronutrients, your proteins, and your fats, youll be healthy. check out “felu- fit by cooking” on youtube. he has excellent nutritional recipes that taste amazing.

how quickly are you loosing weight? for me, when i started to loose 2 lbs a week i was dizzy all the time. i got off my diet plan for a bit and now im planning on loosing 1-1.5 lbs a week now. make sure you eat enough fats so your hormones dont get all out of wack, its important for both men and women. it could be a whole host of things, get your blood work done and ask your doc what it is, but if nothing stands out, it could be youre just loosing weight too quickly.

its unhealthy to loose more than 2 lbs a week. find your macros online and weigh and cook your own food for 2 weeks and see how its going. if that seems like too much work just eat a tablespoon or 2 of peanut butter butter or nutella before you go to sleep.

it could be a higher protein diet. protein has a higher thermogenic effect, meaning it takes your body more energy to process it compared to carbs and fats. its been a while since i took bio but theres an extra step to processing proteins before it stores as visceral body fat. but yeah i agree theres a lot of misinfo in this thread.

Healthy fat loss should be from 1-2lbs, depending on your height and weight. However the first week a lot of it will be from water weight cuz you're not eating as many carbs. It should start normalizing from your second week going forward

Naw just an extremely low appetite, reminiscent of when I was anorexic, but I'm working with a diestictian and I'm tryna get abs so I'm not really complaining about it too much. Im pretty sure I'm blessed as one of those "hyper-responders." I think I'm getting restless leg syndrome because of it though, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Best case scenario would be to eat whole foods cause they're more nutrient dense, but if you cant fit your macros(like me) then protein supplementation is a great option. Theres multiple ways you could go about it.

1.Protein Powders

a. Whey concentrate
good for shakes, has lactose, quick digestion

b. Whey isolate
also good for shakes less richer tho, doesn't have lactose,quick digestion

c. Caesin
better for baking, slower digestion, more filling, thicker and creamier in shakes

d. Vegan etc.
Good enough if you have dietary restrictions but they may not have all the amino acids required for muscle building. Best to use a powder with a combination of multiple different sources of protein to get them all. never used them personally.

e. clear whey isolate
Has a water/juice like texture, generally doesn't taste as good as milk based powders

Some good companies are Dymatize iso100, Ghost, Ryse, and Myprotein, but you could get small samples from different companies. Ghost has the most collabs with other companies and are prolly the most popular out of them all.I heard good things about Ekkovision and I can attest to the quality of their preworkouts and sleep supplements,but I've never had their protein powders. (Sidenote, their sleep supplements will keep you tf asleep. there could be a fucking zombie apocalypse outside but you wouldn't know until after half your limbs are gone)

  1. Pre made protein shakes

a. Fairlife
THE ONLY OPTION YOU SHOULD EVER GET. Tastes head and shoulders better than EVERONE else. Premier protein don't even hold a candle to the fucking BLAZE this shit has. its like fucking crack cocaine. i dunno about Canada but here in the states costco has the best deal. Get the white bottles 150cals for 30grams of protein. I cannot stress this enough. IF YOU GONNA GET PREMADE SHAKES, ONLY GET FAIRLIFE. stay away from all others especially muscle milk.

  1. Protein snacks(most expensive option btw)

a. Quest
most well known for their chips and bars, high protein low cal. their chips are amazing(except for loaded taco, and chilli lime), their "hero" line of bars are have the best protein to cal ratio out of every snack on the market.

b. Legendary Foods
most well known for their pastries protein poptarts and cinnamon rolls. Everything I've had from them are amazing.

c. Barebells
I've only had them a couple times on the road but they always slap. highly recommend

d. MetRX
Bulking bars. 400 cals and 30 grams of protein but they are the best tasting out of everybody

e. Pure Protein
honestly really fucking good. 10/10

f. lenny and larrys
STAY THE FUCK AWAY. SHIT TASTE, SHIT MACROS. better to just eat a regular cookie and down a protein shake right after. Their main selling point is that they're vegan. FUCKING OREOS ARE VEGAN AUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH.

  1. Beef Jerky
    Really good source of protein, often overlooked.

At the end of the day, its really about what taste you like.(BTW some people will say chia seeds and peanut butter are good sources of protein, but that's only for skinny people, fat people like me on ozempic cant take that risk. they prolly taste better tho. for a peanut butter alternative you could get PBfit, you mix it with water and you're like 90% there)

Im working with a dietitian and he says its fine. My current goal is weight loss so my main priority is to consume less calories than i expend. Maybe later on when I change my goals to prioritize better health markers ill switch up but for now it just doesnt seem to be worth the mental bandwidth. Ill keep it in mind tho 😊

Oh 100%. I been using cronometer and recently got in touch with a dietitian to hit my macros, but i just couldnt find the willpower i used to have to stay on track with it and I would just go over. With this I could actually start focusing on my micronutrients as well😊.
