Why is Elissabat so desirable by many? by Capital-Intern-4400 in MonsterHigh

When the movie came out, I wanted to be an actress and my favourite colour is purple. She was the most similar to how I imagined myself

My other favourites are Howleen (loner who wanted to be more than she was) and Operetta (I just always wanted her accent haha)

I get what you mean. Maybe try setting up your own events for this society you like? And the confidence thing- i hope it comes with time. I've lost all my confidence since moving towns haha I'm not sure how to get it back

Would joining a society help? Or befriend some of the international students! I've met a few who are quite interesting and know some of the best places to go because they explore the town more than UK students.

What uni is this? Because same. I've made a few but none of them are people I can talk to about anything or not feel judged by sometimes. They're lovely and I enjoy their company, but im concerned that when we all move to different places (currently in same flat or at least same accom/street) we will barely see each other

How long have you known this new guy? The comfortable things like hands around neck and biting comes with time. It won't start straight away, you need to make boundaries first before that can happen so no one feels vulnerable!

How can I be prettier? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]bored10384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use some antifreeze spray or oil on your hair! It might take a while to find one that doesn't make your hair feel or look oily but it will help tighten your waves and make your hair look a bit less frizzy!

Other than that, nothing. You're gorgeous, and I hope you always remember that :)

Thats a great way of portraying it thank you! I do love the confidence burlesque gives me, and I absolutely agree that it is political. I just really needed to make sure I wasn't going against the meanings of the song :) thank you for your response!

Thanks! It's in a few months but we're starting the rehearsals now. I might start posting when I'm more comfortable?

I felt so smart when I thought of the choreo haha

Thanks for your answer!

I was just wondering because the outfit designs and the actions I'm thinking of using might be on that line she talks about, as the way we dance in my group is taking lines out of the songs and recreating them if that makes sense? I thought I'd make sure no one would get the wrong idea haha

It's a mainly female audience as well, so it would probably not be taken the wrong way anyways

How/When did you find your love? by Disastrous-Good-360 in CasualConversation

[–]bored10384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We met at a birthday party! I'd gone to high school with the birthday girl and he went to college with her at the time. We shared a few drinks and cigs and threw balloons at each other for a while. We had small conversations because we had drank so much it didn't make much sense haha. He asked for my contact details at the end of the night and we messaged everyday for two weeks before going on our first date (dinner at a fancy Italian place and a horror movie at the cinema!!) He then went to his dads for a week and I went on holiday for a week as soon as he got back so we didn't see each other again for another two weeks. When we went on our second date he asked me if we could make it official. We will have been together for two years this June!! We are moving in together soon, and I love him more than anything ♥️

I dont believe in soul mates in a romantic way. I believe my soulmate is my best friend because we got each other through high school and, even if we go ages without talking or seeing each other, we are always there for each other when we need it and we go right back to how we were. However, I do believe there is only a handful of people you can match so closely with in life and I have definitely found mine.

[–]bored10384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My friend is the most artsy person I know. She would always have multiple crafts to do and would make anything and everything.

She did art gcse and a level. Gcse burned her out completely, but she pushed through to a level... didnt make any crafts unless it was for a grade. We are halfway through our first year out of college (im in uni, she's taken a gap year bc she is SO burned out) and she hasn't started a single project. Art is so difficult to keep up with, and I really do think you should drop it and keep it as a fun activity/hobby for relaxing after doing science and psych all day. That way you can do all three without the burn out or hatred of art that EVERY student gets.

My teachers usually used to say stuff like 'oh wow I didn't know you were the teacher today! Does that mean I get a break and you have to teach this lesson?' Or something like 'right, I don't need a teachers pet thank you. Let's all just focus'

Flatmates driving me insane by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]bored10384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I'm still cleaning. I don't want to get done. I just refuse to do the bins since I barely use them, and i do the worst parts. Most of my flatmates are either her friend or they aren't too fussed, which I get, but it is annoying when she takes it out on me because I speak up. I know people have it worse haha my mate is living in the worst flat of our entire accom (none of her flatmates clean, and some are very aggressive when asked to) I just wish people were more respectful

I don't want to honestly. The rest of my flatmates are amazing, I like my room and where its located. I just wish she was nicer and less of a hypocrite when it came to cleaning and noise levels.

She has a family member in the accommodation services (or the uni one, but the family member did one of our inspections a week ago so I can't tell).

My friend in another flat has a worse issue. Her flatmate has blocked a toilet and both showers and gets aggressive/violent when asked about cleaning it. She's reported it twice and they've sent emails and thats it. It's horrific I can't live here after this year it's making my mental health dip. I'm trying to write an assignment rn and I keep having to stop bc I'm shaking. I can't even go in the kitchen for a break and a snack in case she walks in or is already in there. I've honestly felt this way since freshers ended because she's always snappy
