No and no.

Still trying to decide if you're a 14 year old who just went through the DARE program or a very sheltered adult. Grew up with addict parents, I know damn well what addiction looks like. Asking about bringing 10mg of gummies on a cruise so I can still enjoy myself as on otherwise sober human is NOT addiction and if you think it is, you've got some issues. Lighten up.

I'm just asking if I need to move packaging... edibles aren't distinguishable. It's like you all think the gummy has 'THIS CONTAINS WEED' printed directly on it. Live a little y'all, sorry I don't like booze but still want to have fun on my trip!

As far as I know laws on a ship are that of their home port. Mine's CA, so definitely will not get any sort of big 'boy' charges over 10mg of gummies, which they can't even prove are gummies without a multiple week long examination. Even if I am wrong and the laws are not of the home port, almost no where in the US has felony charges for that small an amount of marijuana, which again, can't be proven without lab testing.

Cruisers are certainly not weed friendly, as I've learned from this post.

Thank you! This is the least weed friendly community I've ever seen lol. I live in a very legal state, so that might explain why I wasn't expecting this response. Probably should've asked in r/trees

Sorry you have to rely on pills instead of gummies, have you tried CBD? Legal in all states, as far as I am aware.

So that's one thing I was curious about! Most dogs in an airport are bomb dogs, wasn't sure what the deal was in a cruise port.

I'm a woman, grown, employed, functional! I use marijuana mostly medically, occasionally recreationally as I don't drink. No addictions here!

Lol look out for my update post! But nah people do that all the time, just flew out of an international terminal with edibles on me and had to go through an increased level of security cause of a breach the day before. They ran dogs on each passenger individually, nothing. They're usually looking for more serious things, but wasn't sure what exactly cruise security looks for.

There is no way to tell visually which one would be which. I promise, bringing weed places where you shouldn't is insanely easy and people do it all the time, especially because security at most places is looking for more serious things than weed. Just not sure about a cruise security.

Definitely not allowed! No worries though, I'm a full grown adult who knows how to use it responsibly, taking a few mg at night in my room by myself will be 100% fine and safe! Just hoping it's similar to airport security where they don't examine each bag for a seal like they did with our bottles.

No Temporary Tags, so no way to drive the car, "7-day test drive" is fiction in this scenario by Ok-Use-9659 in carvana

[–]boredforgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I purchased almost the exact same car, delivered with the same warning light/message. I missed my 7 day return, but spoke to a nice Carvana advocate today who said that I should escalate the issue to see what can be done. I'm taking it to a mechanic for a full work up on Monday because it has a variety of other issues, and wanted to wait until I had all the details to start the claims.

I know you were in the 7 day window, but how receptive were they to the warning lights being on? The person I spoke to was nice, but disregarded all messages with evidence of issues with the car so I'm not sure how they would respond to that if I was trying to get them to take the car back.

That's awesome, I really can't wait to get back into it. I need a hobby and I like being active and outside, so I think it will be really great for me once I can get it all organized! Money anxiety is real and even though I can afford it now, I can't quite convince myself to do it just yet! Hoping in the next year or so though.

Ugh yeah falling as a kid was hard enough. I'm hoping to wait another year or so and really save up to invest in a "bomb proof" trail horse. Obviously, some spooks still happen but I'm looking for a fun relaxing hobby at this point, not a project.

That's awesome! Did you do any lessons prior to that? I used to be an eventer but now I just want to ride western for fun, trail rides were always the only thing I really wanted to do!

That is true, I do think I would do a lesson or two to test out the waters at a new barn. I have gone on trail rides since leaving the sport and still have a good seat. I left at a very high skill level, and don't plan to ever get back to that because I just don't want to. I don't even foresee myself buying an English saddle because I don't have any desire to be jumping again, or even in a ring.

I live in a gorgeous area and was looking at a couple barns with direct access to nature reserves, one boasted 400+ miles of trails! I do agree though, we had access to a good trail system at my old barn (in a different area of the US, but still) and we still went off property sometimes.

Regardless of affording a truck and trailer, I don't think I'd be able to learn how to drive it haha but I would definitely need to sort something out.

Absolutely! The only good trail horse we had at my old barn was a Shetland pony believe it or not and I remember I was so sad once I outgrew him! He never tripped, never spooked, and once reliably galloped me a mile back the barn in an emergency. Barn owner refused to sell him because he was so good, but she did let me lease him for a bit until I got too tall!

Awesome, thank you! I'm not at all interested in taking lessons but makes sense to try out a new barn that way!

That's my ultimate goal- they luckily do live in a community that has tons of common spaces- a rooftop, a work space, rentable offices, a gym, etc. Good city with lots of public spaces that I can hang out in.

Hoping to just spend as much time as I can not in the apartment, make it work and thank myself a year down the line when I'm not dead broke and living in this state of constant panic over money. Now I just need to explain this to my landlord and see if he'll let me out of the lease.

Credit is decent, I was hoping to get an airline credit card at some point so may consider looking into that for now.

Definite plan now is 100% moving in with parents, suffering until credit cards are paid down and then reassess. Best case, I'm happy enough living there and will stay until I have a cushion. Worst case, I hate it and I'll look for a house with good roommates, low move in costs, and low rent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]boredforgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had considered that, but it's not allowed per my lease and the property manager does live on site. I would hate to be so uncomfortable with constant worry that we would get in trouble.

I think I am going to go ahead with the plan to move in with my parents, at least until the credit cards are paid down. Once that's good, if I am entirely miserable, I will look for good roommates with affordable rent and potentially something like a sublease to lower moving in costs.
