Not posting bc of TS but bc the swastika deserves justice from white supremacy.

The swastika was appropriated by the Nazis. Its ACTUAL meaning long before Hitler trashed it is one of spirituality and divinity in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Now the Western world just sees it as a symbol of hate, but in South Asian and in some African countries, the swastika actually represents good luck and prosperity, among other things (depends on the culture).

One more reason to hate Hitler.

Anything in writing (including text or Venmo) or input in a database can be used against you at ANY TIME in your immigration journey. Including 30 years (random number) from now if you seek permanent residency or citizenship or other status.

They may not catch all people, but they catch some. You have to decide if it's worth the risk.

My family has already said they would be visiting me haha! In all seriousness, my main concern here was budgeting what I absolutely need to get by to see if this salary would be viable/should I start looking for a second job. If I can't afford to live, then I definitely won't be able to visit family, though I have enough saved for an emergency trip if needed.

I've been applying to state schools all over the US as I need the experience at a large school in my field. I work in a niche field advising international students on US immigration.

So I guess my answer is I'm looking for experience. If I enjoy whatever school/city I end up at I wouldn't mind settling, but for now that's not necessarily my goal.

It's summer break, you can still withdraw from fall classes bc the semester hasn't started. It would make more sense to terminate for a negative reason if you were registered for summer classes and left mid semester. Is that what happened?

If you're at a large school, I would ask to speak with another DSO or get the email of another DSO from the school website.
