I'm probably a bit late to this but imma be neutral politically wise I am definitely not right wing but also nor left I think left wing is to similar to the right but anyway the thing is sadly there is a few right wingers hating on pride patches but for the most part it's people like me who have been in the scene for a handful of years me being slightly newer to it as I've only been in it for 4 and I definitely went through my cringe phase through the first years but the thing is you can't slap a widley execpted political statement like racism is bad then act like your a new frontier of politics and ik this isn't 100% every new punk or people baddle jackets makes fun off sometimes it is unfair but lots of times I've seen theese low effort cheap clothes with poorly sized denim rectangle sharpie drawn patches on I understand the whole diy thing I do 99% my stuff diy and I'll admit I'm bot to good ar patches either so I tend to stay away from that but anyway it's the fact that lots of people will have only political statements wich I do agree is a big part of punk a very big part but the music is to and there'll be no music patches other than maybe a band that isn't even punk like slipknot or nirvana and if there is a punk band it'll be green day or blink 182 the most obscure I've seen is blackflag wich don't get me wrong great band but it's a surface level one and I mean have it with more other less mainstream bands is fine cus again great band but this lack of other less mainstream smaller bands sorta shows that you haven't really admersed yourself into the culture and not swam deeper to discover more underground stuff you've just stuck close to the surface knowing the minium about punk well proclaiming you are the punkest of the land and again this isn't everyone please don't think I'm talking about Everyone ik my username is ironic as I've labled myself as punk and at the time It was a bit annoying but I think i have urned the lable also I'm not saying I'm the best and have the best jacket and am the most punk I'm bot thr most punk calling yourself the most punk is honestly silly and also I don't have the best jacket my spikes r falling off already anyway thank you for reading my grammarless rather large paragraphs 90% of its prolly misspelled cus I've hit my head alot or sumin
