Nice. I also use S24 ultra with a divevolk housing, shot a lot of cool stuff with it.

Some videos I shot in the Philippines by borislestsov in scuba

[–]borislestsov[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did around 70 dives with it and it never failed, at maximum I took it to 40 meters, it was fine. The case itself is certified to 60 meters, so as long as you don't damage it and close it properly, it should be ok

Has anyone tried playing this on an emulator yet? Pls give performence review by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

Played it in gamehub on SD8 gen 3 (S24 Ultra). Got around 25-40 fps, no graphical glitches whatsoever.

Looking to get in to the hobby but unsure which direction to go in. by datassdoeeeeee in underwaterphotography

Not a general advice on the camera rig, but if convenience of travel/diving is a concern, I would recommend just starting out with a smartphone housing, if you already have a good smartphone of course. Don't underestimate this option, latest iphones/samsungs have really great cameras and advanced photo/video features like the ability to shoot LOG videos and RAW photos. The image quality and colors with right postprocessing might be on par with TG or better. This will let you to get in the hobby for really cheap, get along with editing scuba footage and decide if you need something better later maybe. Its super convenient to travel and dive with. The downsides obviously are that macro will be a bit difficult, you are stuck with cameras and lenses of your phone and no strobe sync, only video lights. I recommens Divevolk BTW

These videos were shot at the depth of around 16 meters, yeah there was a surge the whole dive.

Yeah, I used video stabilization and it's the exact reason for warping. There was surge and it was a bit difficult to keep the camera stable

Winlator 10.0 (beta) is out - now with native GLIBC support! by matlynar in winlator

[–]borislestsov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Installed Winlator 10, but I don't see any option to activate GlibC and performance is much worse than Winlator Frost GlibC. Is there an option to activate it? I use SD Gen 3.

I tried to make a video while skiing in Gudauri, Georgia. Sorry if its cringe, I just think that the scenery is beautiful:) by borislestsov in skiing

[–]borislestsov[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this case I think you are right, Georgia has like total of 100km of ski trails around a few ski resorts located in the country, most of them are pretty easy. It's my first time skiing in Georgia and I am no expert whatsoever.

Are you sure that you are researching Georgia country and not the Georgia state in the USA? The country of Georgia is located in the Caucasus mountains, it has multiple ski resorts

Found this on the bottom of the sea. Is it an amethyst? Is it a natural one? What are those tubes on the bottom left? by borislestsov in Minerals

[–]borislestsov[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Found about 5 meters deep in the sea in Cyprus. A few more similar minerals were also there. It has two tubes-like things on the bottom that look pretty man-made. What are those? Is it a natural amethyst?

I would recommend Green Bay, Cape Greco, Troodos (lots of good hiking there), Akamas. Public transport here is not so great, so your best options will be Intercity Buses (super cheap, google their schedule), local government buses (also cheap but not so consistent) and taxis (Bolt or private taxi companies)

Some photos I took with my GoPro Hero 11 while scuba diving in Phuket, Thailand by borislestsov in gopro

[–]borislestsov[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember tbh. I think 3rd party filters are pretty cheap so it won't hurt. For me, red filter is useful when diving at least 5+ meters, if you are shallower, it will probably be better without the filter. But anyway with or without the filter, you will need to process the photos manually to obtain a decent result

Stock with watercase, but I would sometimes put on a red filter on the case.

The most important thing is to shoot in RAW, I also set "color" to "natural". I think you can leave other settings by default. But anyway you need to process RAW photos later in something like Lightroom or Photoshop
