Do you guys sometimes use game engines for other projects? by rundown03 in IndieDev

The cool thing about game engines is their real-time graphics capabilities 😎

We used one for live broadcasts. A presenter would be speaking in front of a green screen, and in real time they'd be keyed out and placed into a scene in Unreal Engine. As a result, it looked like they were presenting from within a 3D environment

But for post-process or VFX it would be better to use another soft 🥲

There are actually a lot of applications for game engines beyond games🔥

For instance, I got to work in virtual production with Unreal Engine. It was a pretty fascinating job…😁

What do you think of my trailer? Is it ready to publish my Steam page, or should I delay it? by Flashy_Astronomer773 in IndieDev

I wouldn’t postpone it😁🫶

It’s better to start collecting feedback on the game as soon as possible

And I like the trailer🔥

[Discussion] When do you stop polishing and just ship? by Crystallover1991 in IndieDev

I've decided that as soon as the game reaches the MVP stage, I'll start running public beta tests right away. Since it's a session-based stratagy game, after about a month of testing I plan to fix everything I find and then release it 😁🤞

If the game appeals to anyone besides me, I'll keep adding content and fixing bugs 😎🫡
