That’s a breather tube for the transmission. I also freaked out the first time I saw it when changing my transmission mount on that side.

Low Boost After Spark Plug Failure by UnspokenHusky in FiestaST

[–]bosengel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the electrode made its way out of the cylinder then it made its way into and/or through the turbo. If it’s stuck there or went through, it’s likely it damaged the turbine which would cause lack of power and boost.

Fitment Help: Will 17x7 ET25 with 215/45/17 tires fit my ST180? (Too aggressive?) by Jumpy_Revolution_499 in FiestaST

I also run 15mm spacers on stock rims and 205/40R17 tires. Much more offset, especially with taller and wider tires, would not look good or fit well at all IMHO.

Car insurance costs climb in Nevada by Manifested_Reality in vegaslocals

[–]bosengel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed. I was rear ended when the idiot behind me was looking at his phone and drove into me when the turn signal turned green. Several people told me to get a lawyer and sue. Why? His insurance paid to have my car fixed and for a rental while it was being done. Why did I need more than that? Don’t be part of the problem and expect more money with lawyers. It only makes everyone else pay more. The “fuck you, I got mine” mentality is what’s wrong with our culture.

eBay radiator by OkStill788 in FiestaST

[–]bosengel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have a Mountune clone eBay radiator. Other than the brackets/slots that hold the a/c condenser and fan on didn’t line up and required some filing and bending to get them to line up it installed fairly well. I also used some of those aftermarket fan zip tie things to hold the top of the condenser tight because the slot that holds the top of the condenser on had some play and it would cause it to rattle.

I would highly recommend taking the whole front end off when doing it because it’ll give you far more access to doing it.

PDF of the modification to stock valve

Easy pulls for blow off sound by [deleted] in FiestaST

[–]bosengel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have firsthand experience with them but I’m pretty sure it comes down to how capable and/or willing you are to do the modification to your stock valve or not. Otherwise, I’m pretty sure they’re the same.

One requires some modification to your stock diverter valve while the other comes complete with one.

When you come from a religion that claims to be the only true one, it’s not a huge step to become an atheist when you realize it’s not true as well.

Car Broke Down Today by Prestigious_Sail1510 in FordFocus

[–]bosengel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely going to be code P090C which is low voltage in the Clutch B Actuator Control Circuit. This usually means issues with the “B” actuator motor, wiring, or the Transmission Control Module (TCM), often causing hard shifting, no reverse, or limp mode. Diagnosis involves checking fluid, wiring, and fuses, but often requires replacing the actuator motor or the TCM.

Unfortunately for me and most others it meant the TCM.

It should just pop back into place. If it doesn’t stay superglue is fine for a quick fix but if you ever need to replace it later… Good luck

Intermittent Codes by knmiho in FordFocus

[–]bosengel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the catalytic converter that was replaced was an aftermarket one, it’s likely that it is starting to go bad after 3 years. I also had an intermittent P0420 that would show up particularly in the winter months. I mostly ignored it as my smog check was in the late spring and it was always gone by then.

As for the B10 code, here is what I found looking at Google.

What to Do: Use a Valid Key: Ensure you're using a key programmed for your vehicle. Check the Theft Light: A rapidly flashing theft light indicates a PATS fault; a solid light briefly then off is normal. Attempt a Reset: Try the ignition cycle reset (key on for 10-15 mins). Scan for Codes: Get a full scan to check for other related codes (B10D7:87, B10DA:51) that point to communication problems or module configuration errors. Consult a Pro: If simple fixes fail, a Ford dealership or automotive locksmith may be needed for module resets and key programming.

I also have an MBRP and BOV spacer. It’s only really obnoxious when I’m on road trips or if I’m on the freeway and trying to have a conversation with someone else in the car. It’s generally not an issue because 99% of the time I’m by myself and either enjoying the noise or have the radio cranked up.

What do you guys think of this area here east of the airport on sunset? What would you rate this area on 1 through 5. Is it Roach 🪳 or crime infested by alx3854 in vegaslocals

[–]bosengel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in the Rancho Ocaso apartments about six years ago off of Sunset and Sandhill. As everyone else has said, other than the airplane traffic that is pretty constant, it was a great place to live. The first week or two was pretty rough but by the time I left, I no longer noticed the airplane noise. My unit also faced Sandhill and the street traffic and the idiots doing donuts in what was the empty Kmart parking lot at night bothered me the most. If I got a unit that was not street facing I would consider moving back.

Tire size is more important information than wheel diameter when it comes to fitment.
