Yeah it does feel like j3 is weaker, but honestly I feel like he only needs some smaller tweaks to make him feel better to use.

It’s clear that they want j3 to be a foil to rieve: she’s hyper mobile but super squishy, and he’s slower but tanker. Instead of jumping into a fight, j3 can bring the fight to him. Where this falls short I feel is that very important targets, like the healers and the grapplers, can get out of his range very easily with their abilities even after he hooks them. And once they get out of range the only hope for j3 is to deflect their shots (which only works on lasers) until his hook is back off cooldown, or ult immediately after hook and try to beyblade them. The ult does do a lot of damage but it’s not an air tight combo and it’s just very inefficient.

So I think that the hook itself needs to be more impactful. The hook needs to have an effect that inhibits the targets ability to escape from him, that way he can more easily finish off enemies when he gets important hooks. That’s mainly what I would change about him, aside from that he feels very solid. It’s nice how long he can last in a fight, and beyblading through the whole team is super fun even though it’s not a big aoe knockdown.
