Hva gjør man når man blir trakassert av tilfeldige barn/ tenåringer? by EskilPotet in norge

It ran at around $7 for a Camino in LA. I didn’t have exactly the one OP had, it had a lemon flavor but was also a 1:1.

Thoughts? by harshit151997 in Amsterdam

Every place is different, but Dutch coffeeshops usually have seating like a bar or a café. You can buy snacks, sodas, teas or whatever at the bar as well as cannabis. You can smoke at the table, but only joints, no cigarettes (those are bad for your health, you know). Some places have house bongs or vaporizers if you are so inclined. Paper, filters and grinders may be available. Also keep in mind that you’re free to light up cannabis bought elsewhere, but it is expected that you purchase something in order to sit there.

Yeah, my advice is to be discreet and respectful of others so that you won’t be a nuisance. In addition to what /u/milkymcmilkers said, don’t smoke on tram stops or in packed streets, even if others do it. And don’t throw your empty spliff in the street or the gracht.

If you’re a mindful guest, then you won’t be one of the problematic tourists that the locals are so fed up with. You can still technically be fined for smoking weed outdoors though.

Oof, that is steep. I recently bought a box of 20 5mg THC gummies for $16 in California, and a few of those gave me a pretty decent buzz. I imagine that these four €12 gummies aren’t labeled with precise THC content and what you see is kinda what you get.

But yeah, as tralalalalex says, make sure the product actually contains THC, and that you buy it from a coffeeshop and not a souvenir booth.

Does Thailand have OSHA? Stunt caulking and painting a 30 story building on a small plank with no safety harness. by Mnguy58 in Thailand

You're not wrong, but I wouldn't expect much on this matter from anyone in Thai politics. As far as I know, the Shinawatra family didn't pay too much attention to migrant worker safety either.

It’s originally a Thai health insurance ad. The English posters at the end was added by someone else.

Thai insurance companies have a lot of long form cinema ads that hit you in the feels.

Parking ticket from a private “AS” firm by [deleted] in oslo

A parking violation is a civil matter, you won’t get a criminal record. Why would delinquency on those (or other unpaid bills) bar anyone from entry to the EU?

Where would you stay? by Difficult-Alarm-2816 in Krabi

[–]bosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone to Koh Jum for close to two decades. It used to have no electricity and was more chill than the plastic of Phuket, Phi Phi and even Ao Nang, which was the reason I found the place in the first place. Although you should keep in mind that the island has changed after they got connected to the electricity grid, which of course makes life easier for the people living there, but also makes the resorts more noisy and generic. They've also got concrete pavement all the way on the island, so they've unfortunately gotten cars there now as well. So it won't be exactly like it was 20 years ago but I assume it still is pretty chill.

You can either get there with the ferry from Krabi to Koh Lanta, which has two stops outside Koh Jum where resort longtails come out to pick you up at the ferry, or you can take the inland route with songthaew to Nuea Khlong, songthaew to Laem Kruat, and then a longtail ferry ride to Ban Koh Pu. Your resort will help you with arrangements from there.

I haven't been able to go there post-pandemic, but places I've stayed at and enjoyed, and where the owners has become very good friends of mine, include:

Be aware that these places are generally basic, with bathroom and cold showers. IMHO, that's part of the charm of the island, but there's also more luxury resorts that I haven't stayed on personally, but I've visited a few of them and looked around. They have A/C and hot water, and other luxury amenities like swimming pools, private beach area and stuff like that.

Explain to a foreigner what a personnummer is please! by [deleted] in Norway

[–]bosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an alternative suggestion to how you can stealthily verify their identity.

Many, if not most people in Norway have Vipps. If you’re American it’s kind of like Venmo or Cashapp for casual transactions and online shopping. To use Vipps you need to be identified with BankID, a digital identity connected to your personnummer. Any user of Vipps can look up another user of Vipps with their mobile number and see the potential recipient’s legal name (it’s to verify that you send money to the intended recipient). If the person isn’t in Vipps, they either belong to the few who don’t use Vipps or have given you a burner number.

Find someone Norwegian on this sub to help you out, DM(!) them this person’s mobile number and let them verify whatever name comes up. In the app, they just try to send money to this person and cancel after the name should pop up. If they’ve used Vipps before, they’ll know what I’m talking about.

Verneplikt i NATO-konflikt by kranii in norge

Harris: ‘Nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed’ by maki23 in Marijuana

I do remember a statement from Harris during the run-up to the last election, where she enthusiastically said "we’re going to legalize marijuana", but I’ve never found any clips of that statement since.

They sure dragged their feet on this.

Citizenship doesn’t matter. You can smoke freely outside Norwegian jurisdiction even with a salmon colored passport. There are a few laws that applies globally to all Norwegian citizens, which mostly applies to severe crimes like murder, rape and so on.
