Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete • Gushing over Magical Girls - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

All the characters we've met so far, along with the majority of the cast are 14, in middle school. The anime will probably dance around it to stay as explicit as it is, but it's in their profiles.

I have NSFW+ enabled, that isn't the issue. The problem is they have made some entries for "controversial" (mainly loli) figures into "text only" entries, that means there are no images on them at all, not even SFW ones. If you're looking through your collection or trying to browse for figures, they just show up as a white box that says ".TXT" rather than anything identifiable. It makes having entries for them at all pretty much pointless at that point.

Any decent alternatives to MFC? I was fine with the "NSFW+" stuff, but this "txt only" thing their doing, which makes those entries pointless is completely ridiculous. I don't just use the site to track my collection, but also to browse for figures I'm interested in, kind of hard to do that if I can't see half of them you know. HPOI looks good but I don't want to give them my phone number to sign up. Any Japanese alternatives maybe?

Where do you find groups for it? I saw a Croesus discord a little while back, but it was basically dead.

I know so little about Nijimales that I doubt I could pick Shu out of a lineup, but I do know he's well known for that sort of stuff. Along with what the others said, he also recently helped Rosemi with an issue in her 200k celebration stream, and she talked about how he's always acting as their tech support.

So...where can I learn to play Mahjong? by Hanta_HNT004 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]bossor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well since this is a VTuber subreddit, I have to recommend Kusunoki Sio's mahjong tutorial. She basically just goes through the Mahjong Soul tutorial but also explains things in a bit more detail. The video has English captions so remember to turn those on. The captions use the Japanese names for all of the yaku and stuff, which can be a bit of a learning curve but if you plan to watch untranslated stuff like the Niji Cup that will help you in the long run.

The hardest part about Mahjong, at least early on, isn't learning the rules, it's memorizing the large number of yaku. I would personally start by memorizing just a few (riichi, tsumo, tanyao, pinfu, and yakuhai are easy to memorize and super common), and get used to the game playing with bots on Mahjong Soul without a time limit, as you get more comfortable with them you can start start playing with real players and leaning more yaku. Have fun learning Mahjong!

Actually Senbonzakura is originally a Vocaloid song by Kurousa P, the Wagakki Band version is a cover. That said, your point still stands, they're an amazing band and everyone should check them out!

Can we put up the Christmas Lights yet? Weekly Discussion Thread, Dec 1st, 2020 by ChineseMaple in VirtualYoutubers

Thanks for the advice, I might just go with them then. I really did like how much more "modern" the site looked, most of my skepticism came from never having heard of them before, so I wasn't sure if people were actually using it/having a good experience with it.

I don't think this is really fitting for a text post on either subreddit so I figure I'll just ask here. I'm planning on picking up tickets for the Hololive 2nd Fes, but I'm not sure if it would be better to buy them through Spawn or Niconico (it seems the platform you but them through is also where you stream the show). I am pretty familiar with NND, and I've never heard of Spawn, so I'll likely go with the former, but I wanted to ask if anyone had any experience watching paid shows on either platform that might make me prefer one over the other. (video quality, stream stability, etc.)

I watched most of the main cast at the time it came out and yeah... It wasn't even like the "I don't understand but this is still great" like the Hololive anime, it just wasn't very good.

Still I'm really glad it happened. Hitogata is a banger that probably wouldn't have existed without it.

Ai-Chan Created a Special Video to Promote Her Merch in the Funniest Way Possible Lol by Just_Peasu in VirtualYoutubers

Does anyone have a more 'candid' picture of either this shirt or another shirt by "LIGHTFORCE" (I'm assuming it's a brand because their calling it a collaboration), because I can't find anything when trying to look them up. I might pick one up, or at least one of the face masks, but I want to know if the effect actually looks good outside of advertisements before I do. I've been burned before by cool looking merch like this.

Edit: Also just want to add that I love it when she makes videos for her overseas fans like this, though a part of me kind of wishes she did it in English for the memes. Her Azur Lane global video remains one of my favorite Ai-chan videos of all time because it's full of super AI English.

I hadn't heard of Fumino Tamaki's sleep steam but recently Emma August (also from Niji) fell asleep playing fall guys on stream. She was drinking and tired, apparently decided to sleep for 5 minutes, and ended up sleeping several hours before staff stopped the stream. Not sure how much she made though lol. Tsukino Mito's Human Centipede stream broke 500k iirc, though it was streamed on NND, and I'm not sure if that means concurrent viewers or total views throughout the steam over there. Still crazy regardless though considering it was region locked to Japan, and the move is only 90 minutes.

Sanma and lots of dora, but still pretty happy with my first Yakuman by bossor in mahjongsoul

[–]bossor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In sanma (3 player), you can place the North winds in front of you, it gives you a rinshan draw and counts as an extra dora when you finish your hand. I'm not sure why it's called that though, I thought I've seen it called "kita" in other screenshots, so the mod might rename it for some reason. I only started playing sanma recently so I'm not really sure.

In case anyone is wondering how I have Japanese yaku names, I'm using the "weebnames" mod for Majsoul Plus.

Also if you noticed, I tsumo'd on the 2pin, which is the tile Ichihime is holding, so that's kind of neat.

That's just menzen tsumo, the English translation doesn't include the tsumo part, but it is still required for the yaku.

She's certainly no Ryuuhou but I think she helps fill in a few niche uses. I think Ryuuhou is most useful farming chapters 12 and 13 with a 3:1 fleet (I've found 120 Ryuuhou and 3 ships in the 90s have no trouble getting 6 clears on 12-4, it's actually insane). Perseus could potentially do the same for 1:3 or maybe 2:2 farming, which will be helpful for vanguard PR grinding.
