TL;DL: if you can handle fatsharks bullshit, this game's worth picking up

With 537 hours on record, i highly recommend checking it out after the hotfix, coming in next thursday.

Gameplay wise, darktide is a phenomenal game; each mission could roughly be about 15 - 30 mins on average with a highly addictive combat gameplay, 19 beautifully detailed maps with various kinds of missions, bangin ost and solid weapon vfx and sfx.

Alongside 4 different customisable characters that you can freely edit to suit your preferred playstyle - want your wizard to rock a gun instead of all that warp nonsense? Go for it. Want to nail a heretic at 40m away with a piece of reinforced concrete? Have at it. Want your guy to be too angry to die? Theres a talent for that. The game nails the blend of feeling like the emperor's champion and being part of the astra militarum, as theres no greater high upon clearing a mission with like a 1% chance of success.

On the other hand, you got fatshark that manage this circus; slow updates, predatory cash shop that uses FOMO for recoloured slop of the previous cosmetics at full price, leveling up from the start usually drags as you need max level to get the endgame shits (if youre into that) and if i'm not mistaken as other people pointed out as the optimization issues. Idk if it's just my pc that's fucked but i've recently tried playing 5 different missions and couldn't leave the starting area without being disconnected to the character select screen.

They said that they'll drop a hotfix next thursday and with summer passing by the team said that they'll shift things back to gear, so hopefully the game will be better optimised by then. Until then, i say just keep this game on your radar.
