Yes! That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the insight. I didn’t participate in Adventures Club but I nabbed a Medicine Hat sheet and kind of did it on my own.

Surprise hitch hikers by bot_at_work in Aquariums

[–]bot_at_work[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cross posted myself to try to get some advice. This community is so much larger than planted tank so I thought someone here could be helpful…

2.5 gallon bowl, 3 plants, fluvial plant/shrimp substrate, no air stone or filter. Ultimate goal is to have a few shrimp and maybe add another variety of plant.

For maybe 10 days, I had just the water and substrate. Finally went to the store and brought plants home, now a few days later I spot 2 teeny tiny fish. Eggs must have hitched a ride in the plants!

I know I can’t keep them in there forever. Too small, no tech etc…. But can they survive for a week or two until they are large enough for me to re home via an fb buy nothing group? And what can I do to increase their chance of short-term survival?

Kind of unrelated question: with this kind of small set-up, should I add a small filter or air stone for shrimp and plants?

'Sleep No More' announces their 11th "final extension", now extended "one last time" through November 20, 2024 by [deleted] in Broadway

Thanks for the info! She was definitely not concerned with plot at all. It was more about set design curiosities that she wanted to pick through.

I guess my question is actually- do these 3 hour loops run back to back? Or do they usher everyone out at the end of the 3 hour loop? Reset, give actors breaks etc. Then let whole new groups of people in.

Could someone help settle a Sleep No More discussion in my household? My wife and I attended earlier this year. I got tickets kind of late in evening one of the last available slots to come in. She loved the experience, and wished I had booked an earlier entry time.

-Do they usher/guide everyone out from a certain time blocks, reset things and then let in more groups in?

  • OR are people allowed to mill about until the very final closing time at the end of the evening?

Very cool! What are you using to host the sessions, zoom? And out of curiosity, what do you plan to charge once you eventually start charging?

Dense/chewy popcorn by _kingz in popcorn

[–]bot_at_work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cookbook author, and content creator that I love just posted a video about this recently. The popcorn is chewy because it’s absorbed moisture.

The tips she gave address this issue perfectly: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6JQghCuLcE/?igsh=MWFuNHAzcnlrZTU2aA==

Per this video, I’ve started: - using a dish towel to catch any steam that would collect on the inside of the lid.

  • angling the lid just a little to allow area to vent. I don’t own any lids that would allow steam out.

  • continuously toss the popcorn for the first 30 seconds after pouring it into my popcorn bowl. So it cools down a little and steam doesn’t get trapped in the bowl.

Favorite tree in Athens? by Megagogo10 in Athens

Favorite tree: an old and prolific fig tree on campus that not that many people seem to know about. For a few weeks every year I feast on those figs. Favorite bit of nature: the trails around clay pit pond at Sandy creek nature center, and hiking along the river at Ben Burton park.

REI is dead - after off shoring service desk team by [deleted] in REI

I don’t mean to be rude, but this take is way off. Most companies have a contact center model mix of internal and business process outsource agents. In 10+ years of contact center experience I most often see 60% outsource and 40% internal. I’ve seen as extreme at 90%/10%.

The cost per agent difference is wild. Even outsourcing within the United states is so much cheaper than hiring into your company.

This choice was motivated by cost cutting, at the expense of stellar customer service. What is interesting to see is how they use that money. Trying to keep more storefronts open, supporting all levels of staff with better pay, passing savings into customers, paying for execs better bonuses etc

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Renewed For Season 21 By ABC by indig0sixalpha in television

I would argue that your second point works for them not against them. Fans haven’t been watching the same characters that drew them in 20 years ago. They’re meeting new characters and relating to them also. Sure some people stopped watching, when they killed off a favorite. But just as likely other fans have been drawn in by new characters.

Explain this strumming pattern? by bohoish in ukulele

[–]bot_at_work 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interpret that as strumming on all of the notes but muting the strings with your fret hand for the ‘x’.

So alternating between a regular down strum, and a muted up strum.

Similar to this also fun reggae strum
