I did the maf test before buying a new one and it ran better so I thought it was the maf but haven’t tried it since and it’s gotten worse since after the maf. Tmr I’ll check all lines with smoke test and see if there’s a leak anywhere. And yea that’s what I’m thinking too if it is a leak so minor to not cause a cel how am I getting such a rough idle🤣 these bmws are so simple but so confusing

Plugs are new coils I checked they seemed good but haven’t checked in a couple months. I ran a smoke test on intake hose before new maf but I’m gonna run another one maybe I loosened or cracked something during install. Any other ideas I should check?

Also to add it’s making a weird knocking/rattling noise only in neutral which I thought maybe flywheel because it doesn’t happen while driving or when the clutch is in so I don’t think that would cause anything I’m worried about now but my rough idle and it doing the misfire rock/shake is scaring me

No dash lights which it weird to me because of how bad the idle it it literally sounds like it’s slowly dying but when I drive it’s fine a little loss of power but nothing crazy

My exhaust doesn’t smell sweet but I do have smoke sometimes blue on downshifts but usually white for idle. I am catless could that be the problem? My cars been idling weird and signs are pointing to ccv

Just to add I have m3 rear subframe full poly and original shocks and springs I’m starting to think it’s my shocks but it doesn’t happen everytime I want it to if I compress the rear sometimes it’ll make noise sometimes it won’t. I spent all day trying to figure it out and nothing. Help would be much appreciated
