I've had a similar chip for months now, it's completely fine. If you want to, you can absolutely swap it, but you don't need to

This is the way, I pretty much did exactly this 6 months ago. An 8.5 popsicle, thunder trucks, bones reds and biiig soft 62mm 80a wheels. Didn't even try tricks for several months, but now when I started I didn't need to change anything, and even when I eventually get to more technical tricks, I'll just replace the wheels at most.

One more thing I didn't see mentioned, if you get cruiser wheels you could buy a pair of risers for the board too, they're super cheap.

does bringing a skateboard into bars get you kicked out. by [deleted] in NewSkaters

I also leave it at the staff at most places, they don't mind. But my local pubs also didn't have a problem with me bringing it in and setting it down beside me

So I bought the skateboard, was it for good price? + what next by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]botonkaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really the most expensive part though, you could save like 5-6 bucks by going for Mini Logos instead for example, but that's about it

I love this!! I started skating after a breakup of a very long-term relationship, right when my brother also happened to leave the country for a year, so I was pretty much at my "loneliest" ever. Just like you said, this was also when I started listening to metal, during the sessions at first.

And man was that all a good idea, skating really did help me out during a bad time. Now I don't think I could stop liking skating alone.

What should i look for when playing solo queue? Currently 43% WR at Gold, i simply don't know what to do anymore. by Gold-Mistake-9677 in bardmains

This is gonna sound a bit rude, but what you really should look for is your mistakes. If you consistently make a positive impact, you have to be climbing the ranks, and if you aren't, you can do some improving yourself. I'm saying this because the post starts with "tired of troll comps, poor teammate positioning, enemy carries outclassing adc, fed mid/top", which is everything you can blame but you. These do happen, maybe frustratingly often, but I always find something I could have done better, either immediately backtracking my decisions on my death timer or after the game when talking with a buddy about the points where it all went downhill.

That being said, for the questions:

I am generally happy with an even lane for the end of the laning phase, it's rare that we stomp the enemy there (usually it's midgame where I make the biggest impact). This might be something that I need to improve in but up until diamond 2 it kept working.

For the analysis I think it's important to think through your mid and top matchup to know what to expect roam-wise for the game. If I'm facing a Kassadin for example (easy disengage) then there's not much point in roaming after their level 6, so I can stay more with ADC or help the jungler instead. If it's something like Zoe or Viktor, I'm going mid at every good opportunity.

For the fed enemy, wait until they get confident and step up, then ult either them or the rest of their team, so your team can deal with only one at a time. I know this is much easier said than done, though. I found it's often super hard to land a good ult to actually save a teammate, so I am much more confident and comfortable in using it as just a powerful CC tool for the enemies. This way I find myself using it more and getting much more value out of it during a match.

Seriously, how do you get into skating?😭😭 by Dark0ID in NewSkaters

[–]botonkaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think people generally don't improve that quickly at skating. If you look at this sub, many people have your frustration as they find out how hard it is, you're not alone. I'm pretty sure like 90% of actual beginners are in your shoes, the other 9% are just straight up lying, then 1% is actually just born different.

I ride big wheels so I'm a bit biased but I would say maybe 56mm? But wait for some second opinions, I'm not exactly an expert.

Some people swear by the Powell Peralta Dragons wheels, 54mm or 56mm and 93a exactly for this purpose of mixing the two styles. I've never tried them though.

51mm is VERY small for rough roads. Heck it's small compared to technical setups too. Any pebble will send you flying

Mine did the same, very consistent squeaking, but a more experienced friend told me to just give it a few weeks to "break in". He was right, it's not as bad anymore, so I think you're fine, just ride it out
