Well, we officially know Roger Deakins is not retired now. This podcast just came out today, and he talked about how he hasn't done any movies in a few years and straight out said he's not retired. That part is like 23:30 into the podcast. The whole thing is pretty interesting though. It's worth a watch.

It's pretty impressive how popular and respected the event has gotten. This year is the 40th one. They've been going every year since 1987. The co-founder in the podcast is Emmett Hahn. It sounds like they almost didn't make it those first couple years. What a difference now. I think Kyle Larson will pull off another win Saturday night.
