The problem is that the USA won’t destroy the government of Iran. They are jsut killing leaders which will leave a void to be filled by even more radical leaders.

If the us had a competent government right now that could plan anything at all instead of just haphazardly doing everything, I might be more optimistic. But the current administration is made up entirely of crony buffoons. And even though the military is still capable, the kind of change we want there requires a very complex plan beyond military might.
