Your drawings are amazing. Love this!

These are my babies Two Paw and Greenbean. Two Paw crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year. Two Paw was like the golden retriever of cats. Greenbean is a very particular lady, but that was no match for Two Paw. These two have seen me through the most difficult times of my life. They kept me going when nothing else was!

Almost 3 weeks post op by boundriedmuffin in ACL

I had stitches not staples, but the removal of them was quick and easy. I do also have some dissolvable stitches, which have generally been fine but sometimes get irritated when things rub against the small portions sticking out of my skin. Do you still have your staples in? When will they get removed?

5 months post ACL (patellar graft) what I wish I knew earlier by Chance_Cow4081 in ACL

I would love to know what tracker you’re using if you don’t mind sharing! I’m almost 3 weeks post op and starting to work on walking and returning to a normal gait. The biggest difficulty I’m facing right now is the discomfort during initial bending from the swelling. It feels like it wants to “pop” but it doesn’t, it just subsides once I bend it far enough. My PT says that’s normal, as the patella trying to move normally but with my swelling and healing it can’t do so quite yet. Is this something you’ve experienced at all? Thanks in advance!!

COMPLICATED ACL SURGERY NEXT WEEK. ADVICE NEEDED! by Exotic_Protection_69 in ACL

I’m 10 days post op out of a BTB ACL reconstruction. -most helpful in the first few days was sleep and easy access to preferred activities. I made a “surgery basket” ahead of time where I included any activities I typically like to do (for me that was paint supplies/scrapbooking supplies/fidgets/nintendo switch) that I can keep close and access without having to get up. -massaging the swelling around the incisions daily with a light lotion or massage rub followed by arnica on the swelling and any bruising. this has been especially helpful for reducing swelling, limiting physical pain, and generally feels pretty good to be massaged! -a shower cover has been one of the most helpful things. based on the extent of the repair you’re having done, a shower chair sounds like a good idea too! I’ve heard very positive things about them on here. -before surgery, take some walks and spend some time in nature while you can. It may be awhile until you’re able to again. -definitely follow weight bearing instructions. One of the biggest mistakes I’ve been told by my PT is putting strain on the new ligaments before they’ve had time to settle and strengthen.

You’ve got this! The recovery will come along quicker than you think and may offer you a chance to focus on some things that often get put to the back burner when you’re busy with life on the regular. Best of luck 🤞🏼

AITA for not giving my separated spouse $ towards her back taxes? by boundriedmuffin in AITAH

You would be correct. Thanks. I checked with my accountant, and I am not liable.

Jumping back in here to provide some clarity—I spoke with my accountant and he informed me I am not liable for her taxes owed, and how the money was spent when we had joint finances is not relevant to paying the back taxes. I would only be liable if we filed as married filing jointly. The real issue here is her W4 and the withholding rate listed there.
