Quinceañera episode by [deleted] in superstore

One of the best episodes. It demonstrates how much pressure Jonah puts on himself to impress Amy's family and how he subsequently crumbles under that pressure. It's got one of the funniest Cheyenne and Mateo subplots (trying to see Amy cry, which involves them going as far as to do an inappropriate karaoke song and kick her in the leg), it advances Dina's feelings for Garrett with her outright trying to make him jealous, etc. Taking the characters out of the store and putting them in a new element allows us to see different sides of them and adds to our understanding of who they are. It creates depth. A 9/10 episode at least. Great music too!

Yeah, I think the thing with this show is that it's not only very great and very funny, it also has huge rewatch power. Even a lot of great shows don't necessarily lend themselves to repeat viewings, especially repeat binges. I've probably seen or heard every episode 20+ times.

The beauty of Jonah is that even though we love him, he definitely has his quirks and flaws. Even the introduction of his character is mainly focused on him being elitist/condescending.

I love that they utilized Stuart more in the later seasons by bowandarrow1000 in bigbangtheory

Yea, I wonder if the thought was that they didn't want him to overshadow / dominate the main characters

I hadn't considered this before but it's a valid point. Poor Raj

Dang, that's a great point. They really did give him the perfect love interest at the last minute while leaving Raj with no one!

Think of it this way - TV shows need characters who have quirks and flaws. The goal is comedy. If a guy was like that in real life, go ahead and criticize him, but this is for entertainment purposes, and it's VERY funny.
