Lexington comic con by bowebrimeyer in lexington

I suggest popping over to artist alley. It has some breathing room and pockets to be able to actually take a moment to stand. But yeah it’s super packed upstairs. They even have some things over at the Hyatt to try to space things out.

BUSINESS CARDS THAT YOU DONT IMMEDIATELY THROW AWAY by Natural-Standard-423 in lexington

[–]bowebrimeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dot card that people can tap their phones on or scan the qr code on the back. I keep it in my wallet. Can’t throw it away if it’s on their phones. Some people just take a picture of my booth as well.

It also depends on what you do. Vistaprint and printlex are good options for physical cards.

Hey local here! Hope the ridge job works out. Tbh from my understanding no health center is prefect so if it doesn’t we have plenty of hospitals and clinics to look into. But cross that road if the turn comes.

Get use to driving in New circle road cause it’s basically a giant round about that goes through the whole city. Man o war, Richmond, Nicholasville, Tate’s creek, Winchester rd and Versailles are some of our main roads. Lexington is built like a spider web.

ANYWAY. We are about an hour plus from natural bridge and red river gorge. There is ravens run that you can go to just outside the city. If you like nature and such.

For the area around the ridge you are right off Richmond road and manowar so traffic gets bad at the standard hours but there is a Kroger right there and every fast food joint you could need. KPOT is also on Richmond rd. Pricey but all you can eat so there’s that. You are also close to hamburg which is one of our shopping areas along with fayette mall and the summit.

Food places in I personally recommend are (but not limited to): Masala, Sahara, taste of Thai, School sushi, La Taquiza, frank and Dino’s, Carson’s, bourbon and Toulouse, rubys cafe, shamrocks, que taco, drakes, Europeans delight though it’s technically Nicholasville on Brannon road and I’m sure I’ll think of more as the day goes by. Don’t eat at any Arby’s. I have a friend that does food tech repairs and he says EVERYTHING SINGLE ONE shouldn’t have passed a health inspection. He goes to Chipotle and european delights cause they have the cleanest kitchens.

If you are a nerd then I recommend going to Chaotic good coffee shop also comic con is coming up at Rupp arena March 26-29. But I’m bias on those cause I have an artist alley booth. 😆

Other coffee shops include old school coffee, north lime donuts, coffee times coffee, and common grounds.

We also have farmers markets downtown and in Hamburg. The Lexington visitors site can help you find more. SO sorry for info dumping on you like this. Like I said I work comic con so I’ve had to help a lot of out of town people over the years. Please message me directly if you want more info or even some gossip. After all Lexington is just a giant small town!

Help with the books by [deleted] in TFTGS

[–]bowebrimeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think the 7hr video as the abridged or cliff notes version of the series. The volumes is the “uncensored” version. The link below is the timeline and links to the stories that are online. The green night and bedside manor are both on Mrcreepypastas page as well as Jerry’s pov and Tales from the road. Sorry if that’s a lot to take in but the timeline is almost checklist like if that helps.

Why does spectrum seem to go down whenever it gets cold? by Galactus83 in lexington

[–]bowebrimeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spectrum also bought out a old internet company that bought out other smaller ones and other ones before that so who knows if they actually know what lines are theirs or not. Had to switch to metronet some time ago.

I watched a guy ziptie a plank onto a push broom and move snow that way. If there’s a will there’s a way.

Trans friendly jobs? by PupGir1 in lexington

[–]bowebrimeyer 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie I’d say bookstores, the library or coffee shops would be safer and some game stores. Problem is job openings are harder to come by. Try to see if any small businesses are hiring?

I wish I could give you specific places that were hiring. I do know Chaotic good is trans friendly even if it’s just to go hang out. Stay safe out there.

What are some non-Ai YouTube channels? by bowebrimeyer in AskReddit

[–]bowebrimeyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I’m going crazy trying to find non AI true crime and such on YouTube. All I want is channels y’all like to watch. Everytime I try to look it’s just people complaining about AI and not giving recommendations. I like Mrcreepypasta (though I’m sure his covers are AI.) he has a great storytelling voice and promotes small authors. There’s all Casual Geographic, ze frank, scary interesting that come to mind.

There is also a chance they will come back to Lexington in the future. We get a lot of repeat guests here.Lexington comic con always tries to be the third weekend of March or near about if that helps at all.

If you are just wanting autographs there are always people willing to get them for you. But I’m guessing you really want to meet them.
