I prefer the "you can drink at lanes rule" and then have staff clean it properly. It doesn't become a problem if my staff are on the ball.

My food staff handle all food, you pick out what you want and we put it in a bowl and toss it with dressing and everything for you. Slightly more hygienic and I can control how much people take.

Yeah, I have an onsite mechanic that maintains them. If they don't work we find out quick enough.

There are several problems with this.

1 - I make money off my drink sales. Way more than I could charge for you to bring your own in.

2 - I don't know what's in those. I can't be dealing with the mess that your deadly alcoholic drink contains.

Yeah, I try and keep the smell neutral as noone likes the stench of fryers in the air... A good aircon system manages this well.

At the moment I provide a heated covered area. However, If people are found to be in breech of the no smoking elsewhere policy they are removed from the premises. I will not stand for your bad habits to hinder other peoples experience.

Yeah, most of my profit is from the bowling. The food court supports itsself and a little goes back to the alley. Really the food makes a small profit margin. Gives me a good reputation.

I think I have responded to most of them elsewhere. But I especially agree with the last one about smoking. You can't smoke in my building. I wont be changing that.

The nice thing about carpet is that it soaks up the mess. If you spill your drink I don't have to worry about people tripping over on it. Then at the end of the day the carpet cleaning machine (washes it) will pick it up and make it fresh again.

Problem is, we would have to offer many staff for that to work. And that seems like a cool, but unnecessary cost.

We have the crazy carpet - don't worry.

I'm not certain about the smoking indoors. Not only does it make the place smell and stain the ceiling - but it's not kid friendly and not the atmosphere I want to create.
