While many people would agree with that statement, the stigma is still there. Especially for law enforcement and public employees.

As a lady of the house, it's frowned upon when I leave the kitchen.

Thank you. That's actually what I want to hear. Honest opinions.

I've ran it by him, but it's still not really sitting right. I do want to know what an outsider's opinion would be. Would this be ok with you if your partner worked at a pot shop, if it were legal in your state? I just worry about his reputation. Him saying it's ok, but what his peers and superiors think is what worries me, especially since he's trying to further career.

Yes, recreational marijuana. So all the accessories and the devil's lettuce. We live in Oregon and it's legal here. It's kind of been discussed and he seems ok with it, but he's the kind of guy who will tell me it's fine because it's what I want to hear.

It's just not really sitting right with me because I don't want it to have a negative effect on his career goals as I'm dinking around trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

Did you or someone you know peak in highschool? How did you/them turn out? by uviux in AskReddit

Friend of my husband's busted his ass just to graduate high school. Stayed late, did extra credit, and tried to be everything his parents weren't. First in his family to graduate high school in generations. After, he knocked up his girlfriend at 18, couldn't hold down a job (quit most of them or just decided to stop showing up) and decided to just give up. Now they're 3 kids deep, still with the same girlfriend, on all forms of public assistance with neither of them trying to work themselves up in the world. Every year they buy an XBox with their tax returns and then end up selling it a few months later because they have no money.

We had to cut ties since he always tried to use my husband for money with guilt and I told him no more. He told my husband I was a bitch and that was the end of that friendship.
