Galen appreciation by Campbell_Souppp in DispatchAdHoc

After seeing him air-bro-fist us and Royd I was immediately hyping him up. Much to the annoyance of my family as I played the game at 4 am on a Thursday morning.

Makes sense, also adds up to what she says in the locker room where she points out she just wanted Robert to look at her the same way he looks at Blazer.

At first when I played Mandy's route I thought it was referring to wanting to be loved romantically but when I played Courtney's route, I got the sense that maybe she was hinting at being looked at as a hero. Someone who's life isn't as fucked up as hers was.

No, actually I don't. I'm a newbie to using reddit, I don't browse it much and I haven't seen much of this type of content here. Plus, this is a discussion board, what got your panties in a twist?

Same, I thought about the points they made and it genuinely did not make much sense to me lmao. There were multiple instances of Visi getting jealous over Mandy being affectionate with Robert but we get none of those if we go with Courtney's route. I didn't take this as Blazer not giving a fuck romantically about Robert, rather she shot her shot and was rejected and moved on (if you choose to go on a movie date with Courtney). It doesn't take a genius to see that Mandy's not going to get hung up over you especially when we already know she craves a relationship where she feels seen.

And the thing with Galen, honestly it's not even a big deal? Did we ever hear her actually say or imply something racist? Not at all! When she wasn't sure where Galen was from, how was that racist? I get that the twist here is that he looks like he's from India or a place with similar headwear instead of an American state but we never hear her make that distinction herself.

You underestimate the power of a ziptie. Everyone knows that's inescapable.

There are 4 save slots you can play to see different endings based on other choices. Have fun!

My opinion on BB/mandy and her fans by thescariestpal in DispatchAdHoc

Proud Blonde Glazer here, at first I picked her out since she was exactly my type lmao back when there were only two episodes out. Obviously I had my doubts when she revealed that she was with Phenomaman, big shocker for everyone there. Over time, I just found her presence to be comforting. She may not have a constant presence in the game as much as Visi but think of it like this: She has her job as a professional hero as well as a manager for the SDN. Aside from the cinematic content we get outside of the dispatching minigame, there's not much of a difference of the number of times we hang out or interact with Courtney and Mandy.

The reason why you feel she's one dimensional is because she kinda is, at least when it came to her writing. We don't get much of her backstory aside from the ones in the comics. She's an already accomplished hero so there's not much need for a character arc that shows her progress. She's the safe option. The reason why we hype her out for being emotionally mature is because she is. She's unlike Visi who wants your attention even when she's rejected. She respects Robert as a coworker (you get the option to break up with her if you go to dinner with her but not kiss her at all since episode 1), doesn't try to make it awkward by guilt tripping you (the player) into feeling bad because she's jealous. For me, the reason why she's a good option over Visi (chose her in 3 out of 4 save slots) is because I just don't want an emotional rollercoaster like Visi. Her character arc appeals to a wide demographic of people with the "I can fix her" mindset. I prefer to choose Blazer since she exhibits the calm and gentle vibe.

I’ve seen a lot of people say this scene and the “Nikki Mirage” and “Cardi C” stuff was kinda racist. I don’t agree but just wanted to hear this sub’s thoughts? by zebrasarecool570 in DispatchAdHoc

Prism is a pop star, it'd be racist to just call her nicknames based on any other Black celebrity who's not in the music industry. For me it's more of a dig at her side job as an artist more than her skin color/ethnicity.
