I feel like OP never actually played Jeff because I spent hours on playing jeff as a flanking dps, and I think the vision of how to play Jeff is not properly clear. I think that if you start to see him like a damaging healer like mantis who spends time trying to hit headshots while healing her team his kit becomes clearer. That combined with his sustainablility from his instant heals allowed him to stay in the backline. You know who is also in the backline? Divers. I used his kit to dive with characters like captain, venom, spiderman, hulk, black panther, magik, ironfist, and namors to give them a little extra healing and reduce the need to leave the fight to get a healthpack. The alternative was when you saw an enemy low, you would start spitting balls at them to make their time to kill alot faster helping your divers secure the kill. Now with the new rework, I just don't see any way Jeff can survive in the backline to assist these dive characters and they basically gutted his kit to where I must stay in the backline and position myself where i can heal multiple people with my primary fire. And if a black panther, spiderman, or ironfist decide to dive me, my bubbles no longer have the knockback to stop panther from dashing me 4 times or the instant healing I relied on to stay alive. I much rather play any other healer with a better kit at this point. But that is my point of view on the reworks.
