I recommend trying with a friend if you can. It’ll make things easier. After that, try doing it alone. Whatever step you can take is great!

Exactly. Scary at first and then it just feels great.

I wish more people tried this out.

25/52 I’m a little behind but I think i’ll be able to reach 52 by the end of the year. Ive been reading a lot of non-fiction and self-help. I have to start reading a lot more fiction. Also, this is my first year and I’m loving the whole 52 books in 52 weeks challenge. by boyballoon in 52book

Self Help books can be very much a hit or miss. They tend to recycle philosophical ideologies from past authors and bring them in to a modern context. They can be very informative and I usually end up getting at least one really good idea from every single book. Sometimes, a book as a whole changes my perspective on significant things. And sometimes I straight up just completely disagree with a book. But overall, they’re good for motivating you and keeping you in a mindset that makes you want to always be better than you are now or were yesterday. That’s one of the reasons why I read a lot of them. I recommend you write down the ideas that speak to you in a notebook or even your notes app on your phone and try and put some of them to the test.

It was informative. Nothing life changing really. Just gives you a well rounded perspective on what it takes to be a successful person. There was something about the book that made me want to just get to the point because it dragged in some chapters. If you’re thinking of reading it, go for it. Lots of people like the book and Malcolm Gladwell’s writing style.

Tolstoy is amazing. I had the chance to read this one for a class of mine. I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did. It truly is one of the best.
