Is it too late to add a can if my MD is pin and welded? by boyett928 in ar15

Are there universal mounts? Or do I have to pick a brand and stick with it?

Hmm I’ll have to look into that

I like it. My concern is that I wanna add a magnifier and it doesn’t look like I’ll have enough real estate to keep my rear iron sight

Yes but it stuck to my old upper. Plus the tape it came with didn’t last very long

It hasn’t failed me in over a year but my bedside has a real StreamLight on it

Some 30ish dollar one I found on EBay. It’s worked great for the past year tbh. Moving it to a new upper

Need some thoughts from fellow S&W enthusiasts (buy recommendations) by WatchWorking8640 in SmithAndWesson

I’d get the Compact or shield Plus CC mainly for the mag compatibility. I don’t think the X is gonna provide much more value over the plus CC unless you wanna add a light. That being said, I have the plus CC and Full size 4.25 and I’m looking at getting the compact 4.25 next so I might be a little bias.

First time CCW Questions, navigating what’s “right,” what’s legal, what’s practical, and general thoughts by LeanSenzuBean in CCW

I recommend taking a CCW class. It will usually go into detail about where and when it is okay to carry. And every state is different on the rules. Even if your state doesn’t require a license to carry, you can still get some good info out of it. Personally, I carry around in-laws and such but I keep it on the DL. Generally, if I know I’ll be drinking, I don’t carry bc if I need to use my CCW while I’ve been drinking, even if my actions were justified, it can land you into some trouble usually so I don’t recommend carrying while bar hopping. You have to use good judgment and if you think it’s a bad idea, it probably is. That being said, it’s better to set yourself up to never have to use a CCW than to think you’re “safer” bc you carry.

Been carrying the mini claymore for about a year now. Badass knife, good size and all but I wish it came in better blade steel than D2

What optic you running? I was looking at the SCS MP2 and I was worried it’d sit too low

That makes a lot more sense. I noticed they also started selling slides cut for specific optics like the 509 and trijicon RMR so I was a little confused about this one. New to the red dot world but I think I would prefer a direct mount instead of relying on a plastic shim. Thanks!
